    • A problem. When I boot into Priiloader and select bootmii, I get a message "Could not find fat:/bootmii/armboot.bin"
I'm also unable to boot HBC from Priiloader
Supplementary question; could I simply reinstall bootmii as IOS (say via Bannerbomb/HBC).
    • When loading Wii ROMs from my PC, can I just drop .iso or .wbfs straight onto my USB HDD? Do I have to use Wii game manager/Wii backup manager? I ask simply because I'm running a Linux system (figure Krank may be able to help me here?), so simply installing WGM/WBM is not an option for me sadly

Also this. If I fancy updating with the new guide, should I start again from scratch with the guide? & having already hacked before, can I just drop hackmii installer and bootmii on /SD or /USB and boot from hbc? (I used bathaxx before)

If you reboot your Wii and hold down the reset button, if Priiloader is installed it'll pop up. The way mauifrog has his pack setup, it should find the system hacks by itself. The first sentence of my reply is right from the tutorial (which tends to indicate, you're reading comprehension maybe iffy).

In the zip files there is a file called hacks_hash.ini. Put that file on your SD Card ROOT. Then go on Priiloader. Go to settings and make sure that use classic hacks.ini is set to off and save settings. Then go to system menu hacks and you should see hacks. If you don't know what one hack means, you don't need it. When done enabling hacks, click save settings. Enable the block online and disc updates, remove diagnostic disc check. You must enable those 3 hacks.

question, i just got done hacking my wii using the guide on this site: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...mod-guide.html
after getting done the last step i saw this:
You have all the current cios needs, so if you have any issue and so and so says use this cios, you have it.
CFG-USBLoader has been set to use cios248[56]-v21 d2v2, this should load just about everything for you. But if you have games that need other cios you can use those as well. Triforce and other app compatibility has been maintained with ios249[38]-v17

what does this mean. cause when i launch cfg from my hdd it loads and it says i have CFG 65 and 249. but when i launch a game i get all kinds of cios errors:

    "IOS(249)
ERROR: cIOS249rev18, cIOS224v4, cIOS223v4, cIOS224v5, or higher is required for starting games from a FAT partion! Upgrade IOS249 or choose a different IOS.

    set_frag: -128
    ERROR: SetWBFS: -128"

    thanks

Not sure if this is correct but what i did was install IOS58 and cIOS 19 and now it works...

Also i just did the guide and i noticed when i go into settings it says i am on 4.1U is that correct

    thanks

FAT32 requires cIOS-X Rev 19 or better (or Hermes 222/223 cIOS). Your question gives the answer, but it's apparent you don't understand it. You mean CFG-USBLoader and cIOS 248 as supposed to work (true), but then mention cIOS 249. See where I'm going with this? If you followed the optional downgrade feature of this tutorial, yes it'd roll you back to 4.1 of whatever region your Wii is.

    OK Priiloader works now (:

    One last question.

Im on Chapter 3- The Final Step now.

I dont need to use the SD-card anymore right? Is it correct that I can now switch to an external HDD and extract the "SD App Pack.zip" to that instead of on the SD card?
Only borrowed the card and card reader so dont wanna use an SD card if I really dont need it (:

Still having trouble reading mauifrog's guide? Here's a direct quote: "All apps install to the sd-card, or optionally you can install them to your fat32 usb drive. Apps should be installed like this- sd:\apps\app name\boot.dol ,otherwise they don't work."

Ofc I did, I even read the "Never do these things"-list :P

Thank you, I return my SD card then (:

Use the cfgusbloader from the app pack, it is set to load ios248. You somehow are not using that config

i followed the guide exactly, i didn't see the part for updating your drive for usb. i installed the usb loader from the MMM menu. then i removed it and put on the latest one. will that work. i also update the shop channel to 2.0 and that works. seems like everything is ok, tried a retail game in the game channel and that was fine. what version of CFG should i stay on? 65 release or a lower model. also, when CFG launches what does those numbers mean in the bottom right corner.

    thanks
