So, since the pack is slightly different, what are these new wads for?

    Backup HBC - MAUI.wad
    EULA-NUS-U-v2.wad
    Region Select-NUS-U-v2.wad
    System Menu-NUS-4.1-v54449.wad

EDIT: Also, only a few of my IOSes have all of those things (ES_Identify, NAND, etc) like Mauifrog's wii. I've followed this guide back in september, i guess, so, is it normal?

    No, sorry
It can only be done with retail Disc or via hardmod

Retail discs not recognised after softmod

Hiyah, i used this guide with no hassles a week or so ago before it was updated. Anyway, just got myself a compatible hard drive and was all set to rip my original games to it using configurable loader but none of the games are recognised by the disc channel. Also, with a disc in the drive, i get a black screen when trying to load cfg or homebrew channel. I bought my wii off a friend who had installed a Wasabi DX chip a year or so ago, is it possible that the chip is conflicting with the softmod? Please help as i'm baffled by this, thanks.

Hi all! Hope your day is going well. So I did this guide and now I'm trying to USB load using loadmii. Do I need to format the drive? I already have the .wbfs files but do I need to extract anything to the root of the drive?

Ok, back then i had my wii softmoded and running my games on a usb HDD.

Recently i re-softmoded with Mauifrog's, but the games now half dont run. Just dance 2 and Just dance run normally, but Mariokart wii, muramasa etc, that before ran with no problems, now they show up the white screen, that says be careful about things around you, and after that just goes blackscreen.

The cfg loader is using cIOS 249 to run

    What may be the problem?
