do you still have the hackmii installer?

Load it sleect bootmii-> prepare sd card

Inside the bootmii folder you must have:

    /bootmii/armboot.bin
    /bootmii/ppcboot.elf
    bootmii/bootmii.ini

All it does is resets my wii? When does pressing power, power, power, reset, reset come into play?

Krank, all you guys. This wii is now working smoothly, thank you very much for all your help.

Now I´ve got my nephew´s Wii, and I did follow the guide with no errors. When I try to run a backup disk from the backup channel I got DVD Error 1167 (I have tried several disks). Wii serial is LU11757715.
Please note that using the USB CF works perfectly.

What can be done to make it works through Backup disc Channel?

    Thanks in Advance

When you've installed bootmii and run it, you ought to have four icons on screen. every press of 'power' moves the selection to the right (so three presses puts you on the fourth icon) and 'reset' acts as select (once to open the menu, once to begin a backup)

If you don't have the menu, you've incorrectly installed bootmii.

    [edit]

    In fact, images:
    Bootmii main screen:

so, press power, power, power to highlight the right-most menu, and then reset is selection. This screen will then come up:

As you can see, NAND backup is already highlighted, so pressing 'reset' now, will start the process

NB/ Make sure you've prepared the SD card after installing HBC and bootmii (within the hackmii installer) but before attempting the above steps.

Note, I'm no expert, and I've asked some daft question myself (some on this thread!) but I just followed the instructions, and it worked for me brilliantly!
