still can't play using the disc channel

I know that USB loading is much more easier than playing back up discs but I really need to know how to play using the disc channel on my soft modded 4.3U wii. i have softmodded it successfully but still I cannot play using the disc channel. HELP

    thanx

a big thanx to mauifrog for the tutorial. I went around in circles a couple of times, 4.3u wii/bootmii to iso/prepare sd card, led me to believe I was supposed to reformat the sd at that point. That led to the blinking blue slot/black screen bricked feeling 'cause nothing was on my card for the nand backup. Easily fixed. A question I have, does downgrading to 4.1 (have not done that yet) enable bannerbomb in order to make wii more easily recovered if corrupted? How easily are wii's corrupted? Thanx again!

I have a question. I softmodded my wii when it was 4.2u. Black Ops then forced me to update, so I did, then I updated through nintendo since many homebrew things weren't working. Then I deleted the homebrew channel through wii settings. Is there anyway to re install homebrew channel without a game or does this mean I need to re-softmod it with this guide?

banner bomb will allow you to run an exploit without a game, but if the wii bricks completely its no good.. and everything can become corrupt easily. If you follow the guides HERE and do it correctly you should be fine. Just dont get carried away and do more then you know how to.

Re-read the beginning of the guide.....

    Requirements:
Have 350 free blocks of nand space
Remove all GC controllers and GC memory cards
    Don't lose power
    Indiana Jones Original Adventures(ntsc-u/pal) -4.3u/e
    or
    Super Smash Bros Brawl(ntsc-u/j) -4.3u/j
    or
    Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's -4.3u/e/j
Is there some other way? NO
    Can I bannerbomb? NO
    Please? NO

    Thx in Advance.
Ignore the post I said about installing the syscheck app via the HBB. Obviously, your IOS36 is corrupt. You can replace IOS36
without uninstalling your IOS36 and BADLY bricking your wii. (IOS36 is one of the MOST IMPORTANT IOS in a wii console.) Don't expect everything I say to be correct. I may be wrong on some places.

You will install IOS236. Here is a link for more information.

    http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-app...r-clipper.html

1)Go to chapter 2 and click on the spoiler that saids Help MMM doesn't load-try this method.

2)Download the zip file and move the IOS236 app to the apps folder in your sd card and the IOS wad on the ROOT of your SD card. Don't put it in the wad folder if you have one.

3)Launch the HBC, wait 30 seconds

4)Go to the IOS236 Installer app and launch it.

    5)Read warning and press 1

6)Confirm your not a pirate by pressing 2.

    7) You have successfully installed IOS236

(IOS236 is an exact copy of a patched IOS36. That shouldn't be corrupted.)

If your too worried that you may brick your wii, install Bootmii boot2, Priiloader, and make a NAND backup using bootmii boot2.

If it freezes on IOS36 (in dop-mii) then he needs to reinstall IOS35 but the guide should be finished first.

Thank you all you guys for helping me out here.

Krank, I f I get you right, I won´t have any problems following this guide step by step from chapter 1; eventhough it seems this wii has the IOS35 corrupted. So after the guide is done, I will be able to play my backups despite this IOS problem.

    Waiting yours. Thx in Advance

What Krank said was to finish the guide so you have the brick protection, then get a copy of IOS 35 from NUSD and install it then your wii will be in tip top shape unless you have more corrupt IOS
