Lol Did I say anything about your system menu ? No.

There isn't a need to reinstall your SM.

Hey @Krafter I went to Indianapolis once, in october 2006 to see the Colts in the RCA Dome, the Lucas Oil Stadium was being built. They won the Super Bowl at the end of the same season...18 hours bus ride from where I live.... near Quebec city, Canada... ok I'll stop there !!!!!! Thanks !!!

It took me about an hour and a half but I was drunk and had slow downloads (in laws computer).

Works perfectly! Well except my korean retail discs dont work anymore as I changed to English menus. I expected they wouldnt work though so not that much of a problem.

So, long story short. If a drunk idiot can do it at 1 in the morning I think anyone can as long as they follow this wonderful guide to the letter. Now I have to figure out how to get WiiFit Plus to work but not thread related. (figured it out)

    Cheers,

    Ca

After softmod-ing my brand new black 4.3U all the backups I want to run have to be launched from a USB Hard Drive? The new boxes won't read a DVD-R?

I tried using a backup DVD without luck
From the main menu it's unable to read the disc.
From the Backup Launcher Channel DVD Read Error 1167.

    Any help, please.

Edit: can I play PAL DVDs?
I am able to run few games using USB CFG Launcher.

Hi have a release day UK Wii currently fitted with a mod chip.

It has been allowed to update firmware so is now on 4.3E.

Reading backup disks has always been a bit temperamental and it's getting worse. I also like the idea of being able to put my games onto a USB disk and access them using Cover Flow or similar.

I have Indiana Jones: Original Adventures, this excellent guide so all set.

My first question is do I have to remove the mod chip or can I leave it in there?

If I can leave it in are there any advantages or disadvantages.

Happy to remove - it's solderless, but if I can avoid taking my Wii apart again or it is better to leave it in anyway I would prefer to do that.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

I donīt have a NAND backup yet.

    Thanks in Advance.

If bootmii doesn't load when the wii turns on, then bootmii isn't installed as boot2. If you can only launch bootmii from the HBC, it's as an IOS. In the hackmii installer, if you can install bootmii as boot2, INSTALL IT. Bootmii boot2 is a brick prevention. After
you do that, make a NAND backup as bootmii boot2. I don't really trust NAND backups from bootmii IOS since my friend got banner bricked because of the IOS NAND backup.
