She had 4.3E System Menu installed and she had a non-soddered modchip to use the YuGiOh image and hack.

Now I have the same system menu version, but I used the Mario 25th anniversary edition disk two weeks ago and it required me to update my Wii. Though after updating it was still on 4.3E.

When I now try to do the same trick with YuGiOh on my Wii (using a backup disk of YiGiOh through my WiiKey 1.0 soddered chip) it doesn't work. When I launch the game and try to load the savegame it just continues like normal and the loader doesn't start.

I also tried using the Indiana Pwns hack but when using this one I get a Errorcode (403) and the system just hangs.

Any input or solution would be great!
    Anyone? :s

You guys having a go at me or Kendog61, or maybe both of us ?

I asked my question in this thread as it is related to the guide.
There are hundreds of other questions posted in this thread and all have had positive replies.

Anyway, just an update... I am now using the GX loader which is working fine for most of my games.
I will search the forum to see if I can find the solution to the problem I have with 3 of my games.

Thanks for your suggestion paramick, I'll look into it.

Why not remove the chip and just go with a softmod. Load from hdd instead of having to go through the hassle of burning games and everything else? If you dont agree.. then post here after a little research is done on your end " Wii Modchips ".. This is not the thread for that.

    Hello,

Can someone confirm that I only need to follow PART 1 ONLY...if my Wii is already soft modded? and I don't need to follow the other steps?

If you already have a softmod with HBC installed, you can update your softmod with this guide.

Note: 4.3 wiis can skip installation of ios58 and 61, and simply load Hackmii from the HBC.

    Backup and Format your sd-card
    Extract MMM-58-61.zip to sd:\
    Load the HomeBrew Channel
Launch Multi-Mod Manager -MMM will load

    -Select Wad Manager -Press A
-Press 1, -press A -Install all wads
    -IOS58 and IOS61 will install
    -Press "any button"
    -Press 2- load "App Manager"
    -Select hackmii_installer_v0.8 -Press A
    Hackmii Installer Loads

    Hi all,
I softmodded my wii with this guide some time ago. In the :cios FAQ- what this guide installs. I see this: MIOS -cmios (WiiGator)= mios v4 with WiiGator's GC Backup Launcher 0.2 embedded into it.
Can someone tell me if it is possible to uninstall this. My reason is that i have a wiikey fusion hard mod and i'm trying to install the new update for it.
But every time i put sd card into fusion sd slot and try and run the update it starts up wiigator backup launcher and i cant do the fusion update.

Any help and guide to uninstall wiigator will be much appreciated

**Also.. I posted the same response to this same issue a bunch of times.. a little research next time couldnt hurt.
Shift_Lock....thanks for your advice. I tried holding reset while powering on, however, I still get the black screen after launching bootmii. Any other ideas as to how to make this work is greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Things is, I had this WiiKey Fusion installed since 2007 or something (maybe 2008, not sure) and it's soddered to the mainboard, so removing it might break something.

The whole point of me trying to do a softmod is to bypass the stupid chip in the first place, like you said so... hence the softmod.

I'll check out those links you posted though.

*edit*: well your links don't have anything to do with softmodding the Wii and only apply after you succesfully modded it, which in my case isn't.

Like I said before, I modded my girlfriend's Wii (which was using a WiiKey Fusion chip to load YuGiOh) without any problems but now I tried both YuGiOwned and Indiana Pwns on my own Wii, and it just doesn't work (on YGO it doesn't initialise the bootload and just continues the game and on IP it makes my console crash with error 403).

    Hello again,

I'm still waiting for assistance and I have not rec'v a reply back. I do have another question. Like I said before, my Wii is already softmode and I just need to update softmod to current status. Do I just need to do step 1 only because I already have the homebrew channel and the other setups, because of the last mod I did in Dec 2009? Will I cause any issues to occur if I just follow this enitre process and re-mold the Wii from step 1 to finish?

Yes you can follow the entire guide to update your mod. Start with part one, you will see a spoiler for people with HBC installed....start there and finish the entire guide (except don't install darkcorp).
    Damn I suck!!!!

Thanks for a reply back. I'm going to try to finish this process tonight. Can I skip part 2 and 3 of chaper 1? and jump to chapter 2 and continue from there?
