So then i try the alternative method stated in the guide and when i click 1 on the first step, i get an error that has a bunch of numbers on the screes, then says stack dump with a bunch of numbers than says code dump with a bunch of numbers.
The same thing happened to me (see a few pages back). Shift_lock was kind enough to instruct me to reboot the Wii while holding the reset button, then try again using the original mod pack. It then worked. Perhaps something should be added to the guide that a reboot/reset might be necessary.

    Try this:
power off the wii, push and hold the reset button, power on the wii while holding the reset button until app starts. then continue on with softmod.

**Also.. I posted the same response to this same issue a bunch of times.. a little research next time couldnt hurt.

My main point is what should be on the SD card so i can use bootmii and multi mode manager at all times? and also is WAD Manager a more user friendly and similar program as multimode manager? which one is preferrable?

    hope someone can help, thanks.
Can someone please help me with this? i know im gonna need bootmii and MMM in the future, this may be a basic question for some but im new to this and would be appreciated if someone could give me a heads up on this info needed. Seems other members are asking a similar question.

Seems it was discused here but vinatec didnt post the thread link for everyone to use, anyone got that link?

Is there any point in having bootmii on there? or just WAD manager? do i need bootmii to get into WAD Manager? like in the guide? or can it be done without bootmii?

I followed your guide for like 5 different Wii's and it works perfect.

Right now I'm having an issue with SSBB through USB Loader GX(latest). The game itself seems to be just fine, I can play Brawl and online. But I get the very common Subspace emissary problem; after Mario vs Kirby, screen goes to black as if it was gonna load a video and it stays black forever. No error or anything.

I already installed Hermes 222 and 223, also booting game in 222, tried playing with video mode etc and nothing fixes it. This fixed Monster Hunter Tri aswell as Other M but won't fix Brawl.

One of the Wii's was hacked with an older version of your guide(cios38rev14). The other one was done following this one(cios38rev19). The very same problem occurs on both Wii's.

Also tried a different HDD and still the same. First time I tried installing it through Wii backup manager, the iso was in red and unusable. I used WBFS manager and it installed fine. Do you think that could be the proof of a bad iso? The iso was 8.74GB I believe.

ok so I followed that guide and it worked great, but I got a little confused on the last step. I extracted the file to the SD card, but when I put it in the wii and click on the SD icon it doesn't do anything. Is it supposed to? Sorry guys I'm a newbie and so I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for the help.

8.74gb?!? I might be wrong but I dont think it should be that large a file..... The average game even in wbfs form is around 3.2-3.96..

The problem you have is a common issue others are having. you can try a different loader like cfg or wiiflow and see if there is a difference. also check in the GX problems thread.. just use the search option and post your issue there. someone who understands GX better will respond.

I would just use this guide and start over to be sure everything you need is there to prevent future issues. when you update via nintendo stubs are placed over your cIOS's and IOS's. it's an extra step you gotta take but probably a safer bet to do it.
