Power, power, power, reset, reset ???

Hello guys, Thank you to anyone who will reply and help a head of time. As well as the people who started this thread and have added so much useful content to it since it started.

I do have a question however and I hope someone can help me out as I am stuck, and a little worried

    CHAPTER 1 > PART 3 > MAKE A NAND BACKUP

    >Press Power, Power, Power, Reset, Reset (or use gc-controller)
    >Power = Right, Eject = Left, Reset = Select

I do not have a gc controller and i am currently staring at the BootMii screen that consists of 4 boxes, Wii, the homebrew channel, sd card, gears ... wondering if I really have to hit the power button 3x and reset 2x. I saw earlier it said "DONT LOSE POWER" so i am quite worried.

my SSBB and SD card are still in the system. Using a 2g scandisk as per instructions.

if i actually am supposed to hit the buttons, how long do i hold? is it a fast push? plz explain

Can someone please give me direction? My wii controler hand is not on the screen nor do any of the buttons work ...why do i get the feeling i messed up...

    thanks again

    Hello,

I want to ask you for a little advice if possible... I have done my wii and all work correctly but my friend tried and did something wrong, i think?
somehow he wasn't able to install a preloader, kept telling him he need a lower version than the one on HBS. He played a game anyway and then he got info about need to upgrade and he hit the button yes... Now he has soft upgraded to 4.3e and can play only original games. What he can do now to modify his wii? Is it still possible to do a mod on his wii?
    Thanks you for any advice

This guide is superb and I implemented this on a friends 3.1U wii easily. Only 2 questions thou for mauifrog ...

Do I need to use "Advanced-impossible-update-wii-super-hard-brick" Tutorial after this..??
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ard-brick.html

    2) Now As my own wii was currently softmodded by old method of "New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wii" Guide..can I use this to update it..?? any harm if some things are repeated..??

You do not need to do that, just block online and disc updates with priiloader, that will keep your Wii from updating. As for super hard to brick, I wouldn't want to find out. Just don't do silly stuff to your Wii.

Yes, you can use this guide to install new softmods over the old softmod. That would be an easy way to update your Wii, this guide is quick and easy.

Not really understanding what you are asking but you should probably read chapter 1 of the guide a little closer..
