if your wii has a vulnerable boot1 which allows installation of bootmii to boot2, then yes of course, start the guide from the beginning, if you already got the hbc installed you can run the hackmii installer from there. the installer will tell you if boot2 installation is possible at all.
I followed the guide and cannot get the Configurable usb loader to work. I get the following error while trying to mount my USB drive:
configurable usb loader error ret -1
My Wii is 4.1 (upgraded during the guide from 3.3u). I tried both USB ports and no luck. My drive works with another WII that is on v4.2 softmodded and uses USB GX Loader. So I know the drive works. Any ideas?
The the last chapter of the tutorial, do we have to do anything special to install the apps? Configurable USB loader showed up in my WII menu without me having to do anything. Maybe I'm missing something here.
Just want to give a heads up. I solved my problem. Apperantly my HDD was the issue. My new iomega 2TB showed up today so I put a couple backed up .iso on it via wbfs manager and it works perfectly! Many many thanks to everyone here!!!
I'm following this guide to try and correct a mod that someone else has done to a friends wii. It already has the Homebrew channel on so I followed step 1 successfully, however bootmii won't load up.
Anyone know why ?
Well, I'm new here too...but I'll try to help. Do you get an error message when installing BootMii? Any other messages?
[no need to quote the entire guide]
When i load BootMii it goes to a black screen, that normal? cause im trying to make a nand backup but its not working, i tried the 'power, power, power, reset, reset' method but nothing happened

I'm stuck on Chapter 2 Part 1. When I install all wads, it says 26 complete successfully and 26 did not complete. Does anybody know how I can fix this? I did run md5summer.exe and everything was OK without error.
Not normal for me... I saw 4 icons. After i did the 'power, power, power, reset, reset' it backed up my Wii. What's in your SD card?
