Every guide that I have tried to install cIOS249 was been unsuccessful. I have even tried Dop-Ios Mod and MMM. Is there a guide that you recommend?

If it's a 4.3 Wii, this would be the guide.

I used this on a red Wii with 4.3U preinstalled and worked good, but I have a very intriguing question.
I used the second package on a 3.4U, but I wonder If I can update the system menu to 4.1U using the file Sysmenu4.1U(US).wad -System menu for USA Wiis- included in the tutorial presented here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html or not?

Do you suggest doing the whole guide over again? If so, no problem, I did it once and I can do it again.

    Hey,
Sorry to report I had a problem following the instructions in this guide. I am using the smash stack method. I downloaded hackmii and extracted it to my sd card's root. I followed the instructions in the guide, but when I went back to the stage builder hackmii did not load. I am pretty sure I am using the right SD card, a 2 gig sandisk. The only thing I can think of that might be wrong is that I already put the modpack on the SD card as well - is it supposed to be a virgin SD besides the hackmii files? I will try removing all other files and seeing if that works better, but I'd like to save time and ask if anyone has any other suggestions.

EDIT-I think I found the problem: I was dumb enough to put the hackmii stuff into a folder instead of straight into the root. If fixing that doesn't work I'll still need help.

IDK why you'd be asking in this thread, since it's 4.3-specific. We have guides that cover ANY Wii (mauifrog), 3.1-4.1 (dogeggs), and 3.0-4.1 (Cile). Let's stick to topic, please; and let's not forget Junkmail's Update Your Old Softmod guide, either.

Did you fully format it, and as FAT32? Did you verify the integrity of the wads via the checksum feature (summermd5.exe)?

    Games Do not load

I had a Perfectly working Soft mod until the wife decided she wanted Netflix on the Wii and was told to update the Shop channel which Also updated the System menu to 4.3.

So i followed mauifrog's guide to re soft mod Still had HBC and i rolled back to SM4.1

Here is my Current System Check

    Spoiler

Now the Problem is Almost all Games Freeze on Loading or at some point right after the Start.

Off the top of my head
Call of Duty Black ops Gets to First Loading Screen After the Zapper screen
call of Duty Modern warfare Same thing
Wii Sports Resort Freeze at any Game start

anyone have any ideas or am i on the right track?

Ok so i have installed cIOS224[57]-v5.1 And still black ops does not load Tried my old harddrive that working prior to the Upgrade and still no dice.

I tried ReRipping The Problem Games That did not help Did i miss something in the Softmod. I do not Belive this is the Proper Thread But i got redirected back here when i started another.

    Rock Band 3 issue

I seemed to soft-mod without problems. However, whenever Rock Band 3 disk is used, it will not play unless the system updates--which it does succesfully, or so it seems. However, other stuff is ruined (no USB disk access). I thought I had installed the stuff to avoid an automatic update, but since the family generally plays RB3, this game must be functioning.

How do I get this working without forcing the system update, or do I re-soft-mod again? I don't understand why the system update is being forced as I thought I had 4.3 installed on the system.

    HELP!
