Bootmii will not work with a USB, on a SD card.

Thanks - that's what I was guessing. So is there any point in launching BootMii unless I need it for disaster recovery now that I'm complete w/ my softmod? Is there some feature/function I'm missing or overlooking?

    thnx

I'm not sure I understand your question, since you didn't take the time to use periods. If you are asking whether to merge or overwrite the wad folder, then the answer is probably merge.

Your post is still confusing, so that may be wrong. Next time please take 0.2 seconds to add periods between sentences.

    Thumbs up great guide!

Thanks a lot! Just got Goldeneye and was pissed I couldn't transfer my saved game. Booted up my Wii for the first time in a while (it was on 3.1) and got it softmodded with no issues.

I'll give thanks when I find the button

EDIT: I see the thanks button now, I guess I needed to accept the forum rules first.

Anyone ever thought of writing an installer to automate all the steps used on the PC? For example, prepack all these files one needs to download into one installer, have the installer prompt the user for the drive location of their SD card, do all the extracting, formatting (if any) and writing and then display printable instructions for the Wii (depending on the step).

Or not, just thinking out loud.

Thanks guys! The site has been invaluable.

Hey guys, i need some help here. I am trying to softmod my 3.4E wii. And I did everything successfuly until installing the 4.1 system menu as my wii wasn't connected to internet. After that I did this:
You should now be at the main menu of Multi-Mod Manager
    Select "App Manager" -press A
    Select Priiloader -Press A
    Priiloader 0.4 Installer will load
And then I pressed Home button on my remote to "chicken out" as i hadn't installed system menu 4.1. After this my screen went to - well, it's full of unreadable white letters. And I don't know how to get out of this as no button works and I don't know if I should pull the plug or take the SD card out.
    Help please.
