Thanks Maui that helped. I did end up getting the channels. However when i try to use the usb loader i get "250 [FRAG]" in the lower right corner of the first screen and my game isn't appearing. Does that mean that I am missing the ios 250? Any ideas on how to fix this? I feel like i'm so close but I keep running into problems at each step. If you recall my post the other day only half of my wads installed off the modpack - could this be the problem?

If I am missing the 250 ios how do I go about installing it?

Is there anyway to check what ios's I have?

    Thanks

I read the first 26 pages, only to realize there's another 200 pages.
So I just skipped a "few".
I've had my Wii since the first year it came out, that Christmas I believe.
I read in those 26 posts that you have to have a certain modchip to be able to play backup burnt dvd-rw's.
I went to that certain website typed in my serial number and it came up with this.
    GC2-DMS
Now I believe just by my common knowledge that this is acceptable to be able to play burnt discs. I just wanted to make sure.

I want to understand what I'm doing here before I start to softmod.
I have either SSBB, or Lego Indiana Jones being mailed from blockbuster. Should get here by Saturday.
I don't have any hands on experience doing this stuff.
Is there any website where I can get a easy rundown on this WHOLE concept of softmodding the Wii?
Or in this case is Youtube gonne be my best friend?

    Appreciate any help.

yes, you've a nice Wii console which is capable to read and play backups (dvd-r) and/or play with usbHarddisk. as of today, you don't need to buy a modchip, unless you really want to spend your extra money on it. a proper softmod will fullfill all your expectation, i believe.
you may get all the applicable info from the FAQ section. to be exactly, u may like to focus on reading the softmod threads, established by Shodowsonics, Mauifrog and Dogeggs. make up your mind to apply ONE to start your softmod, after reading all. never forget to install bootmii as boot2 into your console. this will help you to escape from a bricked wii, in case.

There is no way to find the games needed for the softmod...

Is it possible to appear in the future any other way to softmod a 4.3E wii ?

    Thanx

since my sysmenu is now 4.1, can i run apps via the HBC now and forego the MMM manager?

also, installing things like hermes cios v4, do they install as normal or do they come pre-installed with this mod pack? i really hate 4.3u and i downgrade any console that is brought to me by my friends or whomever. the tech side of me says that since im on 4.1u now, i should be able to install any app VIA HBC like i do on any other console thats 4.1u. however, since this was a 4.3u console first and is now a 4.1u console, i thought id ask before doing what im used too.

You say you've completed all steps successfully yet you also say you are stuck on one of the first steps.
You can't have installed Homebrew and Bootmii without first copying over the indiana PWNS.

    The guide is clear.

Play Lego Indiana Jones Original. Start a new game, then exit to System Menu.
-Go to wii settings, data management, save games, wii,
-Click SD, copy Indiana PWNS for your region
-Play Lego Indiana Jones original, load save game slot 1

Thanks for the reply Flatline. The Idiana PWNS was in my Wii save files. It confused me because at the end of the guide under optional extra brick protecetion it says, You can add extra layer of brick protection to your wii by installing the Indiana PWNS, Yo-Gi-VAH, and Yo-Gi-OWNED disc exploits onto your wii. I wasn't sure if the procedure I had original done to get bootmii on the Wii using The Indiana Jones game had actually installed the Indiana PWNS on my Wii or just used it to get Bootmii on the Wii. Do I need to install the Yo-Gi-VAH and Yo-Gi-OWNED disc exploits on my Wii also or is Indiana Jones enough? Many Thanks.
