My Wii_4.3J was molded and played well, with Cfg and WiiFlow Forwarders, for months. NAND Backup also saved in the SD card.
A friend took away for fun and, unfortunately, returned with black screen. The power supply was gone, besides.
Connected with a new power supply, black screen. The wiimote is out of sync ( i.e. all lights are off after the normal hunting).
I doubted if a corrupted Wii System, or a Blu-tooth-module failure might have been induced by the bad power supply.
Took my GC controller and connected to Wii, I was able to get into RM. 4.3J was shown at the TV lower corner.

    Then,
With the SD card (ie. BootMii, nand.bin, key.bin are resided), the console was able to get into NAND Re-install menu.
When doing the NAND restore, I was prompted:
    Restore Wii NAND ID: kkkkkkkk
    Checking boot2……
BootMii found in boot2. Ok to proceed.
    Dump is for different Wii.
Once again, if you are really
SURE you want to do this, KONAMI
Otherwise, press [Z] to give up.
    Try harder Hashimoto-San
    Try harder Hashimoto-San
Try harder Hashimoto-San-- the sentence repeats as I hit the GC controller button !
I just can’t complete the NAND Re-install with it’s nand backup files.

My question-1 is : what’s wrong with the NANDBackup files, as it was originally made during the softmod ?

    Again,
I copied MMM into cBoot2 with another SD card, Turned on the console, got into MMM and move to “Display Wii System Info” .
To my surprise, the screen shows:
    System Menu v(null) on IOS80
    Console Region – Japan
    Video Standard – NTSC
    ……..etc.

My question-2 is: would a corrupted Wii_4.3x System be shown as v(null) ?

I went back to look at the console’s former SysCheck-(using v1.6.1;Erik Spyder), which also was in the SD card.
Found: The System menu v512 is running under IOS58_v6175.

    My question-3 is: how come Wii 4.3J System_v512 was recorded under IOS58 ? and not IOS80 ?

    As shown on the SysCheck CV, I’ve IOS16, 20, 30, 50, 60, 70, and 236 installed as ver.54321 already.
    And, IOS80_v6943.

    My question-4 is: should I re-install the SysMenu_4.3j_v512 ? …..and how ?

I tried to look into Manage System Menu. However, there’s only SysMenu-4.1j/4.2j for online internet installation.
May someone be generous and offer me a SysMenu_4.3_v512 to save my boat ?
Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks for your reading, again.

I have followed the guide and have completed all steps successfully. I am just a bit confused about installing the Indiana Jones PWNS. How do I do this please? The instructions say to install them by first playing the game and installing the exploit save file. I have completed the first level and saved the game but did not know how to install the file on my SD card. I used the Indiana Jones game to install Homebrew and Bootmii. Does that mean the exploit is already saved? Thanks.
    I'm a little confused!
You say you've completed all steps successfully yet you also say you are stuck on one of the first steps.
You can't have installed Homebrew and Bootmii without first copying over the indiana PWNS.

    The guide is clear.

Play Lego Indiana Jones Original. Start a new game, then exit to System Menu.
-Go to wii settings, data management, save games, wii,
-Click SD, copy Indiana PWNS for your region
-Play Lego Indiana Jones original, load save game slot 1

What would be the option to troubleshoot!!!

I used the Indiana pwns, with success every thing was fine. then bamm out of nowhere the wd external drive wont read. I have several other wii's ,as well as drives and they have no issues . For some reason it just stopped working.

    Error:Couldn't open file!
Press any button to continue to reboot Wii...

This is the error msg i receive. There is no problem with the drive I have several also several wii's and everything else is fine i think it has something to do with the cfg loader.

What would be the best option to troubleshoot!!
Every thing was fine till a moment ago. last game played was deal or no deal. The machine is not bricked but it is being an ass. what could be the issue, please if you can help I would be grateful.
ps thank you Mauifrog for the guide

No one was answering that thread and to be honest i couldent tell what the problem was, but its fine now I solved it. I wont be posting it any more. If any care the error I got was from a corrupt or damaged sd card I changed the card and voila.

So I'm COMPLETELY new to this softmodding ordeal.
I read the first 26 pages, only to realize there's another 200 pages.
So I just skipped a "few".
I've had my Wii since the first year it came out, that Christmas I believe.
I read in those 26 posts that you have to have a certain modchip to be able to play backup burnt dvd-rw's.
I went to that certain website typed in my serial number and it came up with this.
    GC2-DMS
Now I believe just by my common knowledge that this is acceptable to be able to play burnt discs. I just wanted to make sure.

I want to understand what I'm doing here before I start to softmod.
I have either SSBB, or Lego Indiana Jones being mailed from blockbuster. Should get here by Saturday.
I don't have any hands on experience doing this stuff.
Is there any website where I can get a easy rundown on this WHOLE concept of softmodding the Wii?
Or in this case is Youtube gonne be my best friend?

    Appreciate any help.

    -DS30

did you delete all the stages?
do you have the boot.elf on the root of your sd card?
are you using a 2gb 1gb sd card?
See the Thanks button over there?
