You are choosing GX over a good loader like Cfg? Is it GX's incompatibility or the constant crashes that appeal to you most?

The things you mentioned are apps, not channels.

You forgot to type three words, but I've got your back.

To move channels, hover over them and press and hold A+B. You can then drag the channel to another slot.

Ok, I am really new at this, but here goes.

    I've follwed this guide here.

Everything went smoothly until one step. I'll be as specific as I can, hope someone can help.

Currently I have System Menu 4.1U
    Homebrew Channel: 1.0.8
    IOS58 v24.32
    MMM 13.2
    IOS236 v54321

    Priiloader 0.4 rev 78 (preloader v0.30)

I installed Priiloader by holding down B and pressing +. According to the text on screen that means it used IOS249 (cios).

Installation went ok, although I did get an error about a password.txt file, but from what I've read, that shouldn't cause a problem.

    Here's the issue:

When priiloader finishes installing, no matter what I do, I can't get it to boot up using the power + hold down reset option. I hold down the power button till the light turns red, hold down reset then boot it back up, but all I get is a black screen. Sometimes it stays that way till I power it down, sometimes it'll go to the Health and Safety "Press A to continue" screen as soon as I set go of reset, but it never loads priiloader. I did check and edit the hacks.ini file to match my 4.1U version.

Bootmii says my boot2 version is boot2v4. It also mentions something about using the "Install and Patch IOS36" option, but when I tried that it couldn't find the files, so I'm guessing I need to find those wads (if that's the solution here).

The memory card being used is a San Disk 2 gb, formated to FAT 32.

I have not applied any other wads or patches other than the ones found in this guide.

So any help? Is there a new wad/patch/whatever that I need to apply/install somewhere? Keep in mind I'm totally new at this, so.

Edit: I went ahead and followed some steps from this guide - http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-softmod.html

Still same problem though. I've uninstalled/reinstalled priiloader 0.4 via the HBC-Bootmii using iOS249 v 17. Still nothing. Priiloader keeps saying it installed successfully, but it will not load using the power/reset method. If I try to run priiloader from MMM or HBC, it just keeps telling me to install it. Kinda stuck in a loop here. =\ Only thing I haven't done so far is the "Install and Patch IOS36".

OK, guys so I've followed this guide word for word i'm fairly certain. After finishing I was able to load USB Loader GX and load games but it would only load to a black screen. A friend of mine who is familiar with modding wii's suggested installing some other wad files etc. etc.... long story short now USB Loader GX will not detect my HDD - I know its not a hdd issue because I have gotten it to detect and load games (to the black screen at least). As this is my first time modding a wii I'm completely lost as to where to begin troubleshooting this. I did see a syscheck thread, not sure if that will help but here it is. Any help is appreciated guys, thanks in advance.

the guide is completely fine as it is written. no need to jump here and there, do this and that what isn't mentioned somewhere. no need to do the IOS36 thing. the guide covers it, get a syscheck to see foryourself. no need to edit the hacks.ini .. maybe you made it worse now.
are you sure you didn't install bootmii at boot2?
if it is installed as boot2 it is possible that you can't access priiloader. try unplugging your sd card for a sec, turn off wii to red light, hold reset press power on the console still holding reset.
when you adjust the priiloader hacks inside MMM and don't get an error this would be fine as well.
    try again

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

I´ve followed this guide and didn´t change to 4.1u. i left it at 4.3u. Everything is working perfectly.
I´d like to change the region to PAL, becasue my old skool tv won´t play an ntsc signal.
can i now do the "optional" region change and menu 4.1 change, or will it brick my wii now??¿¿¿

I have WII sp edition (RED) with 4.3U.

I want to play backup games, and trying to softmod but I DO NOT have any of the following

    Indiana Jones Original Adventures
    or
    Super Smash Bros Brawl
    or
    Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

Any suggestions, the WII is still virgin, nothing has done yet.

You already gave the answer as does the tutorial. "Want" all you want, that won't make horses sprout wings and fly lol.
