Dammit. Does anyone know how I could run sd:\md5summer.exe if I have a mac?

    How necessary is this?:

    Run sd:\md5summer.exe
    Click "Verify Sums", Select "ModPack-AnyWii.md5"
All check sums should verify without error (very important)
Click "Verify Sums" again, Select "UpdatePack.md5"

    Much thanks for any help!

Installing a corrupt IOS can semi/full brick your Wii, depending on the one corrupted.

When the instructions in Chapter 1 say "Prepare the SD-card," in preparation to made a NAND backup does that mean that my SD-card should be totally blank before making the NAND backup?

    "Prepare the SD-card
If Step1 fails with error "no vulnerable ios", DO THIS

Part 3- Make A NAND Backup (NOT Optional, do this,)"

You can't but you can use a mac md5 tool to check the important files manually. All check sums are found in the md5 file, just verify the wads and your good to go.

You can play most NTSC games by forcing the region to PAL with a USB loader. The reason loadmii gave an error is because you formatted your HDD as NTFS instead of FAT32 (recommended).

I did this mod sucessfully yesterday for the 1st time, I decided to have 2 or 3 brand new Sandisk 2Gb Sd cards, formatted with the formatting tool from the guide at the ready. When it came to the NAND back-up, I had a blank one ready and have now kept that SD card just for that NAND back-up. I obviously missed the point about the meaning of "Prepare SD card" the same as you but my method negated the issue anyway.

New question following sucesfull completion following this guide!!! (Brilliant guide BTW, but now my questions take a different slant)
I am using CFG and a USB HDD to play back-ups on a new Black 4.2E Wii.
If I bought the kids a game for xmas that needs a microphone like some singing game (just dance or the Michael Jackson one for example, or maybe even Guitar Hero/ Beatles type thing, am I likely to experiance an issue getting the peripherals to work properly? Are there different quirks to each game that require such peripherals?
I know I read about this some where on here, and something about using cIOS????.
The guide says I have every cIOS I should need, but would i need to change from the default that CFG is using now or something?

please use the edit button to avoid clutter around the forum.

you likely have to change to cIOS223 to play your music games. (or 224)
but there is also a guide for that: Music Games
    good luck

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

But doesn't FAT32 have a file size limit of 4gb? Aren't most Wii games over 4gb? Just wondering because I have a 1 tb HDD formatted half in NTFS and half FAT32, wouldn't that work then?
