    1. Priiloader blocks updates from discs and the internet right? So I can still play games that came with the console from the disc? (I heard that Metroid Prime Trilogy has had some problems with usb-loader, plus I wanted to have it for real, and Mario Kart Wii came with the console)

1b. Does this mean it's perfectly safe to be connected to the internet? If not it's perfectly fine with me but it's good to know.

    2. Is there anything I should look out for? (read: newbie mistakes that can brick or otherwise damage the console)

    3. Is it safe to assume Nintendo will try to crack through the priiloader defenses with any future or just-released games, for example Skyward Sword or Donkey Kong Country Returns? (i.e. have updates that slip through)

    Thanks in advance, great site.
1b. Its safe but don't use cheat codes, if nintendo notice you'll be banned

    2. Never uninstall an IOS below 200 never install a system menu theme etc. Go to the brick wii isues forum there is a guide by mauifrog about all the things that can brick the wii

    3. Don't know what will happen in the future but right now they can't

Post I'm a bit new to this...

I was wondering, I'm region 2, so can I only use this method with Lego Indiana Jones? As I already have Super Smash Bros. and it would be nice if I don't have to buy a game to do this

    Hi again,
Sorry about this but i need more help.
I sorted the bootmii by changing the name so wii system menu started at wii start-up.
Ok, on the wii menu i click on back up disc manager to play my back up disc but i get a DVD READ ERROR (1328)
It the goes to neogamma r8 with option and stuff. I click on launch game on dvd and the same error comes up.

I'm beginning to think that this soft mod stuff was not for someone like me. I followed guide to the word so i cant understand
    what i'm doing wrong.

    any help much appreciated.

What does the guide say? No you can't use SSBB if your wii is PAL.

    Requirements:
Have 350 free blocks of nand space
Remove all GC controllers and GC memory cards
    Don't lose power

    Indiana Jones Original Adventures(ntsc-u/pal) -4.3u/e
    or
    Super Smash Bros Brawl(ntsc-u/j) -4.3u/j
    or
    Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's -4.3u/e/j
Is there some other way? NO
    Can I bannerbomb? NO
    Please? NO
    Damn I suck!!!!

When i did the "Install Bootmii as Boot2 (boot2 may not be available, IOS installs automatically)" I couldnt find boot2, but i chose"Innstall Bootmii as IOS". Okei, that seemed to work. But now i have a problem. I did the "After priiloader installs, it may give error or freeze- this is ok, it installed" Okei, it froze, some blury white text froze on the screen (impossible to read). But when i was going to do this: "Hold reset and boot wii while holding reset- priiloader will load" NOTHING happens when i held the reset button on the wii? Or the power button on the remote. What is my problem? Help please!

    a) turn off the wii, by holding down the power button on the console, not the mote.
    b) hold down reset, press power (on the console), release reset when priiloader loaded

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

Mauifrog, this is question is coming up far too often. Would you please add that, if Priiloader freezes, the user needs to do a hard shutdown by holding POWER for 4 seconds before continuing. People keep trying to do the next step while the install is frozen.

Got it to work now, thanks! Maby i should have searched abit more arond the forum tough. So now i have installed everything, (not the optional stuffs or anything extra) Is it just to copy a PAL game (my own backup game of course) to the external hdd (NTFS) and click on the channel. For NTSC wont work cause i have 4.3E right? No more trixing and fixing?

btw. Can i have other things on my hard drive? or just the wii ISO files? I get LoadMii Error in FAT Initializing

    Thanks for reply.

I have been on the wii drive chip datdbase and entered my serial number. And according to the results:

The Wii has a RVL-001(EUR) model number and is produced for the European market. The copyright year is 2006.

Your drive most likely has the following chipset:
There is a 100% chance the chipset is GC2-D2C (v1)

So i'm hoping you can tell me i can play burned games.
