I am hacking my second Wii (first one was a 3.4 that was really easy) however I keep get an error message when I try to load HBC on my new Wii, version 4.3U.

It says Exception (DSI) occurred followed by a bunch of numbers and STACK DUMP/Code Dump. boot2 was installed as an IOS

I've used different SD cards, I've re-downloaded all of the files, and I still can't figure out what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Question

Hi. I plan to mod a wii that I get for Christmas (if I am lucky enough to get one) and I was wondering... I have a 128MB SD card here. Would that be big enough to do everything needed? or is 1GB the bare minimum for this.

    Thank you for your time.

(I might find the answer through the thread... but 200+ pages is slow reading lol.)

    *EDIT*

I forgot to mention. I will most likely be getting the Red Wii with the 2 games with it (I forget what they are) I am assuming that will be okay to mod since it says the red ones can be modded.. (On a different site I saw them mention that there was an update that still shows the wii on 4.3 but it really isn't. So I thought I would ask to make sure as it seem you guys know A LOT more then that other site did about this stuff lol.

You need room for a bootmii NAND backup which is ~520MB. I suggest an official Nintendo 2GB Sandisk. They are about $10 and you can find them at most places that sell video games.

Okay, thanks for the info and quick response. I have slow internet by today's standards and I haven't bothered downloading the stuff needed yet. So I had no idea what the size of anything was. I am also glad to see those Sandisk SD cards are cheap now too. Last time I saw one around here the 2GB ones was almost $40 I think I can spare $10-$20 for one down the line when I have some free money in hand.

Lol, prices have gone down a lot. My first flash drive cost $30 after rebates, and it was 128MB.

if you did it right you should have v20 of the shopping channel. I'm pretty sure NAND emulation should be disabled

    Need some help.

Here goes. I'v been given a wii by a friend. (lucky me)? He was trying to do a softmod (indiana) for 4.3e. He thinks he messed up, so he brought an already softmodded wii.
It already has a hard mod (wiikey fusion) but he said that the fusion did not play all backups.
I used a guide from this site to uninstall soft mod, which worked. The wii was a 4.3e pal, but after uninstall it is now a 4.1e.
In this guide PART 1: Choose the method compatible with your wii. 3.0-4.1. Bannerbomb v1. 4.0-4.2. Bannerbomb v2. Which one should i use?
The reason i'm asking is that i downloaded bannerbomd v1, put files on sd card, followed instructions
Go to wii settings- data managment- channels- SD- Load the boot.dol.
But i could not see the files. I also tried with Bannerbomb v2. Same again no files.
I no my sd card is ok because before i uninstalled soft mod, i downloaded (indiana) softmod for the 4.3 with the intention yo finish off previous soft mod and the PWNS files showed up.

Any help will be much appreciated.

First off, there was no need to remove softmods. That was a bad idea. You could have just run this guide and installed/updated everything you needed. Second, did you format your SD card like you were supposed to? If you have any channels on your SD card bannerbomb won't work.
