    It detects liars.

    J/k, I couldn't resist.

The pw works fine for me. Make sure you are using all caps and "-" instead of spaces. If you are sure you are typing it right, clear your browser's cache (temp internet files, cookies, etc.) and try again.

Be sure to extract the files directly to the sd card and run the md5summer from the sd card.
The are 2111 open blocks. I guess it is not the memory issue... Yes I directly extract it to sd card and ran the checksum from sd card... I'm using winzip does it matter? I have also did a signcheck on my wii. Any clue what might be wrong?

OK, that almost looks good. Delete all the wads in sd:\wad
Then extract cios249 and cios247 to sd:\wad, load MMM and install them one at a time.

Thank you JoostinOnline just got Donkey Kong Country Returns NTSC working using WBFS on my USB drive instead of FAT 32. Have to read up on it a bit more to get it working for FAT 32 i guess but thanks again for all the quick replies!

    Hi guys.

Thanks for posting up this guide. I've read it about 20 times, and still don't know if I feel comfortable doing it.

After following this guide, is there any way to return the wii to factory settings again, or is this a one one ticket?

Your mod will probably always be detected by Nintendo if they look hard enough. The softmod can be removed, but if you have to ask that question please do not do this guide yet. I will tell you that the guide is very very stable and every precaution that can be taken has been. You will like it very much, but it is not without its risks.

FAT32 has plenty of advantages, but cIOS38rev17 (aka 249) doesn't support fat32. You should always keep either 249 or 250 as rev17, because it is still the most compatible version. It shouldn't be used as a default for USB loading (even on WBFS), since it is slower than newer revisions, but it is good to fall back on if rev20 doesn't work with a game or app.

Hi mauifrog, my Wii was installed in softmod with version 4.2 (with USB Loader GX taken on an another site). After inserting a Wii game (that included an update) into the drive of my Wii, the update to 4.3U be installed and nothing works with my USB Loader GX since. I don't think that my Wii is bricked (Never update from disk), because I can still play games. Do you advise me to do all the steps mentionned in your guide or I need to adjust certain things ? FYI, all my games are still on my hard drive.

    Thank you in advance.

    Remi

You lost most/all of your cIOS's when you updated. Just reinstall them.
