wii system menu 3.3u softmod failed

Recently I bought a refurbrished wii system (3.3u). I was trying to softmod it using bannerbomb option, I got the dialog to loaded the boot.dol/elf but I got blank screen after the scam message. Any help is very much appreciated.

yep that fixed it for me!

basically i wasn't doing chapter 3 yet cause i didn't think the chapter 2 stuff was functional yet. i still have the same issue with the "Error couldnt open file press any button to reboot wii" but i loaded USB Loader GX into homebrew channel and am able to play games using that method. thanks again!

Quick question, all the wads you provided, do they include all the wads needed for the rock band instruments to be detected? As well as the microphone and stuff? Thanks!

Yes, both for original disc play and USB/DVD backup loading.

Thanks for the quick response, I notice they don't work though in USB Loader Gx, Unless of course i go into the settings for the Rock band games and make them use IOS 222 or 223. Which ever one it is, i forgot. Is there a way i can make it automatically set it for all the Rock band games/ Instrument Singing Games? Instead of going 1 by 1.

    Thanks again

First switch to a good USB loader like Configurable USB Loader. Games that need USB support work best with 223. If most of your games are music ones, you can set 223 as the default IOS. That is what I use (it's 222 for me, but 222 and 223 are reversed for me). Still, it shouldn't take that long to switch them all, since there aren't many music games.

I have 500 wii games, however im constantly copying them to my friends hard drives and i get to lazy to change it to 223 everytime.
So if i set the default to 223, will a lot of the NON music games not work? If not then oh well i guess i will just do them one by one, you do have a point, theres only a handful of music games that use the USB port anyway, just trying to figure out an easier way.

And you stated a "good" Usb loader? I use GX, I've seen Configurable USb loader in action, it seems that it does almost the same job as GX to me. With both of them you can change the settings of each game and what not and make them use certain IOS's to start the game and stuff. Is there a really noticeable difference with Configurable?

    Thanks
