Fist off nice guild wish I had found this then i soft modded my wii a year ago.

    OK here is my prob.

I have a soft modded 4.1U Wii wtih Neogamma and the HBC installed.

I havent got an new games in a long time so I pick up madden 11 and SWTFU2

with both games i get a error 001 Unauthorized Device Detected. Some one suggested I use this guild to update my soft mod.

I downloaded the MMM-58-61.zip but haven't done any thing just yet. I like to read and ask a few questions before i mod any thing..

Is this the only step in the guild that I need to worrie about or do I need to do this and go on from there?

Thanks guys for all the help.

    good work

    hello,

i followed this 4.3 softmod guide, it was a nice and detailed one and everything
runs quite fine - thank you!
anyway, i have a few questions left:

    - as i tried out the usb loader and got a black screen i read the "black screen" - thread
and installed the mmm package. later i found out that it was an issue with the iso.
should i deinstall the mmm-pack or is it okay to leave it like it is?

    - i tried to set priiloader to load the hbc directly but priiloader says:error autobooting hbc, although i installed it (serveral times) - how can i correct that?

    - is it possible to play vc-wad's from other regions? first i got the message "this channel cant be used", then i set the "everything region free" flag in priiloader. the message disappeared but the game wont start (black screen) - any idea?

    regards,
    plx

Hello everyone unfortunately had a problem with this great tutorial.

When I finished the "Chapter 2 Part3-Priiloader (brick protection, you need this)" I changed the "Enable Disk Block Updates, and Block Online Updates" to enable and reboot the console.

When I booting the console the is all black, the wii menu dont start. But if I hold the reset and boot the console it enters in the Priiloader Application.

How can I solve the problem to continue with this tutorial?

    My Wii Specifications:

    Wii PAL 4.2e

EDIT: I have to use this? http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...brick-fix.html

    Tnks...
    Regards Onvrb

Load priiloader and verify that you did not enable the "black screen at system menu" hack
Only the two update block hacks.

I only change the Disk Block Update and Block Online to enable.

    In prriloader:

black screen at system menu: DISABLE
    Disk Block Updates: ENABLE
    Block Online: ENABLE

My Wii its brick??? Any solution??? I follow all the steps less the chapter 2 Part 2- Install System Menu 4.1 (downgrade is optional) because its optional...

I have no errors and no problems, after install priiloader

    tnks for your help.

Mauifrog - I need your help.

Short story - We had the wii softmodded by a friend to work a usb loader to load our external hard drive. Lo and behold the other night we decided to finally get netflix on the wii, however we had to update to do it. Yep, you guessed it, my stupid ass updated it thinking it would cause no harm. Now not only does the usb loader load our hard drive, but the netflix didn't install right either haha, icing on the cake.

Anyways, I've been following your guide via the indiana jones glitch and it's been working perfectly. That is until I tried to load the multi-mod manager. The weird thing is, when I opened homebrew and clicked bootmii, it gave me the option to load the multi-mod manager so I clicked "load", it then brought me to a black digitized screen that said "Daco's Taco's Bootmii Booter" - "loading bootmii". It then proceeds to flash a bright lime green screen then opens up bootmii instead of the multi-mod manager.

Then I followed your backup step, to install the ios236 installer. Once I loaded it to the sd card it opened under the homebrew channel, however when I went to install the file from sd it said "error installing file".

I then proceeded to delete the bootmii folder from the sd card and back it up on pc, once I did that, the bootmii block on the homebrew channel froze on the "daco's taco's screen" and the disc eject on the wii started flashing, then the screen froze.

Where is my error? Please help if you can, my boyfriend's son is going to be so upset this weekend when he tries to load his games. What can I do?!

Help anyone? Please, and thank you.

Start from the very beginning of chapter two, don't skip anything.

I'm pretty sure you can't. Read the guide, I think it says it very clearly.

Also, before Step 3, not long after installing Priiloader, it says to format the sd card, with no mention of putting back anything Priiloader-releated back on it. Does that mean I'm currently lacking Priiloader, since I've only extracted AnyWii-AppPack.zip to my sd card? Because it seems very important to prevent bricking and installing/updating any IOS... how can I put it back? (if needed)
