Ok, so lets say for example I have the 4.0 version, do I use the first option with the hackmii bb1 file or the hackmii bb2 file method? Or will either method work? I just want to clarify. Thanks

Either will work, that version overlaps and either apply. I can see now why that does appear a little fuzzy

Thank you Mauifrog for the guide. I've modded a virgin 4.3u wii and a chipped 4.2u wii without any problems. Thanks for the guide

Yes, everything is installed. Can you load homebrew apps from the usb? Can the wii see the drive at all?

The wii doesn't seem to detect the drive at all or any usb drive. It does however detect my controller charger and the lights light up on my hard drive when it is plugged in. It had always worked fine and then one day suddenly stopped working :/ I tried reinstalling usb loader gx and the ios needed and that didn't work. I then followed this guide to make sure i had everything and still nothing... I'm getting kind of desperate and don't really want to format the wii because i have a few games from the virtual console which i purchased when i first bought the wii.

Sorry, I don't know. If the Homebrew channel can not run apps off of any usb, if wadmanager can not detect wads off of any usb, if usbloaders do not see the usb drive, I think your screwed. The wii format will not help you, perhaps a nand format if you had boot2 bootmii, but perhaps you are having a hardware issue.

I just tested it and i can run apps off the usb on the homebrew channel so it seems like the problem is with the usb loaders.

The modpack.zip from this guide is the same to the one in the 4.3 guide ? Now that the forum supports spoilers you could try and update the "any wii" guide with 4.3 info . I'm guessing the modpack is the same, 4.3 just needs some extra ios'es installed . Will you update this guide to Hackmii 0.8 ?
