I don't know what your issue is with option 1, it is prefered. Option 2, if you don't have network you need to wait 30 seconds after loading the HBC before launching cios236 installer or it will crash.

    Hi,
This guide installs wiigate backup launcher 0.2 for gamecube games. Does it make any difference to image quality/customization to any other gamecube backup launchers for GC? i.e. are there better ones in terms of displaying clearer/full screen etc.

    Cheers, Andy

I just purchased the new red wii, the version reads 4.3U, is the "U" standard? Will this affect me softmodding it? Can I do it using this guide?

If you already downloaded and theninstalled hackMii 0.8, installed it and have HBC already and updated to v4.3, should I still follow directions or restart over?

I ended up upgrading to v.4.1 which solved my past issue. But now I'm at the beginning of Chapter 2 where you install the Mod-Pack via md5summer.exe, and my Wii isn't recognizing that anything is on the SD card. What's going on?

md5summer.exe does not do anything on your Wii. You open it on your pc. It is used to verify of the checksums of the files mentioned in that section of the tutorial. Basically, it is reassurance that your files are complete and incorrupt before using them on your Wii. Or, as these folks would say, "brick protection".

I'm actually no expert in this matter. I have no Godly clue what checksums are or do. All I know is I followed the tutorial and it worked.

the guide covers an option where to start when hbc is present, i guess you did what is mentioned over at wiibrew or something. But that doesn't mean your hbc is running on IOS58 right now, what it should. So it would be wise to start the guide from the beginning, install IOS58 and reinstall the hbc to ensure its using IOS58.
    good luck

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks
