Like I said cmios is installed while doing this guide, so just burn your gc game and stick it in the wii. Wiigators is installed while using this guide, and it only works on wii that can read burned dvd media.

You have to use external, because it needs to plug into the HDD via USB.

    Hi guys,

I just started Softmodding my Wii, and I am currently stuck on Part 3(Installing Priiloader) which is under Chapter 2(Hacking your wii). So i followed the steps until now, everything has worked out, no problems, great guide overall. Although where I am now i pressed +/A at the same time to install Priiloader from APP manager, and after it installed my wii froze, which was said it would happen in the tutorial. Although after that it says boot your wii, while holding reset and Priiloader will start. I did that but my priiloader doesn't boot up. What should I do? Is it something that I am doing wrong? The way i understood it was to hold reset, turn off wii consol and turn back on while holding reset. Thanks for your help guys, I really appreciate it.

You have to keep holding reset for a few seconds after pressing power. If it goes to the System Menu while you are holding Reset, try to install Priiloader again.

    Hello JoostinOnline,

Thanks for your reply, I just tried that but with no luck. And also another detail, whenever i turn on my wii, it always boots up to the MMM main menu. So every time i try to do the power on while holding the restart button, i go to the MMM main menu. I also tried installing it again and it doesn't boot up to the PriiLoader screen. Is there anything else I can try? Or is there an alternate way of doing this that would allow me to continue using this tutorial past this step? Thank.

Have a good look at chapter 2 part 3 again, you will see this-
If MMM loads at boot, select Manage Priiloader, Edit Priiloader Hacks, enable needed hacks.

i have a wii that came with fm 3.2u, its hardmoded with wiikey, and twilight hack was used to install homebrew channel, firmware was updated to 4.1 with waninkoko updater, and have ios60patched and cios38 rev17, and hermes 222,223 ios installed.

do i need anything special to run this guide? because i cant play newer games with this setup, neither on DVD or USB (reading errors for the first, and freezes for the second)
