It's not hard. If you need help then ask in the FAT32 guide...have you setup your USB device? Give details about where you are stuck or confused....(in the FAT32 thread, not here).
    Damn I suck!!!!

Old member on new account here! I softmodded my wii a while back. didn't play for a couple of months, and for some strange reason, everything on my wii was gone, now I need to do all this all over again, good thing this site is still up or would be lost forever! +rep as many times I can on your threads! job well done!

I've completed the guide, every thing is good, all 45 cIOS files are good, all apps working fine for me and Wii flow works a charm. Just out of curiosity though, if I want to install another cIOS and lets say we have 222,245 to install and forget that I've already patched those, will the Wii brick itself installing the same cIOS files again ?
It should be fine so long as the cIOS files are not prier to the current version, correct ?

    hey,
as you used this guide you should be perfectly set up for now.
you didn't patched those cIOS on your own so there was nothing to forget.
look at a syscheck if you are interested what patches are applied etc.
when you want to change something of that setup you can always use apps like dopmii or MMM to remove installed stuff.
or you would just use wadmanager or MMM to install a new cIOS wad on top of your old (have a look at wanin/hermes cIOS link below) (cIOSrev21 is about to be released, when compatibility etc. is tested that would replace 250 in the first place, if everything is fine and triiforce is workin with the new cIOS one can think about replacing 249 with that, but thats in the future).
but again it is wise to leave your cIOS for now.

Well I'm about to install cIOS38 Rev 17 then go ahead and install Rev19, I'm confident and feel comfortable doing installs from here, plus not to mention all the tutorials on this site are so easy to follow. I've also come to realise that no one needs to post silly messages like I did above, all the information is on the site, you've just got to do a little bit of digging in order to find it.

thats true all on this site.
but! maybe you read the last part of the guide in terms of what has been installed to your wii.
i don't want to argue about if rev20 is more stable than rev19, have a look on the listing. you already have cios249rev17(base38) and 250rev20(base57) that is already the perfect setup to keep compability for everything. so you would load games on default with 250 and have 249 in place for Triiforce for example.
so really no need to change anything except you want to train your skills in deinstalling and reinstalling stuff, the cios wad Tut you found is good for that and also has a recommended setup explained. go on from there if you really want to (maybe that discussion is already on that thread, browse the last pages there you'll find pros & cons).
    cheers cu

Thanks for the heads up, lol I went ahead and done it any way. The only reason beind is I had 002 error on a app and thought reinstalling cIOS38 Rev 17 & 19 would solve that issue.
I want to get to the stage so I have as much flexibility and knowledge I can over the console, it's certainly very fun to play around with. I've only around 5 hr experience with the console so fair, a little more time and a learning curve I think I could rack some thing interesting up.
