PS: Mods, if this is the wrong forum ,my apologies and would you mind moving to the correct one. THANKS.
Kind of need to know exactly what error you are getting. Could be your drive is old and takes longer to spin up? Could be its new and some other problem? Powered by usb or external? The more details the better. Make, model, throw in as much info as you can and we can try to help you out.

I don't need an explanation of what the difference is between them and I know how to install the update. I just want to know if I followed this guide, which IOS version of USB Loader GX should I use. Thank you.
    249. Basically the difference is which cIOS GX uses to load. In this guide cIOS249 has a base IOS of 56 which is compatible with most everything out there. There are a few games that need a different base IOS. See the FAQ in post 1 as to what base is used for the different cIOS included in this guide.

You should also take a read of the noobs guide linked below in my sig, it will explain a lot of stuff that I think you may not fully understand as of yet. I have seen your other posts and submission to the tutorials thread (excellent idea, and it is appreciated!) As nightstah counseled you in a different thread, you need to fully understand these things in order to support your guide and help those who are going to ask YOU those very same questions. I also invite you to PM me if something isnt clear, and I will help you understand things as best as I can, but the first and foremost thing is that you do some research first and try to learn for yourself.

Again, great job in your desire to help out the community!

    Hi,
newbie here, I have a few questions.

    - I have purchased a used Wii, the console appears to be a Korean model region-changed to US (4.1U) with HBC installed.
Can I follow this guide treating the console as a US Wii?
    - During Chapter 2 - Hacking your Wii, Part 1 - Wad Installs
If there is a wad or more fail to install, will there be a list of those wads at the end?, or will the process stop immediately at the first one it fail?
    - and during IOS-Update, Do it need to be installed system menu 4.1U again?

Thanks and my apologies if these questions has been asked before.

If you fully read the guide --- three times as suggested in the text, I do believe --- you'd have the answers to the majority of these questions.

    1. Yes. Never update to 4.2 or 4.3 without the patched IOS this guide installs, otherwise you will brick that Wii. Read this to see what bad things can happen to a Korean Wii.
    2. It's a batch file; the guide tells you to carefully watch the screen output. It will continue to install, but watch for any errors.
    3. IOS update updates the revision of IOS; you don't install the IOS and then re-install the System menu - that'd be unnecessary.

A massive thank you to Guides Bot for this fantastic, easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide to soft modifying any Wii. I've already done three, the last being a 4.3 menu console and I must admit about being a little nervous - even though the 4.2's I'd done before were perfect. This one's mine to keep though, as the others were for my grand-daughter and a friend.

Ok just to be clear: does this guide work for the Wii Mode/vWii on a WiiU, whatever WiiU version we have?

Edit: Never mind, I just found cjizzle's guide "Guide: Virtual Wii (Wii Mode) Softmod for Wii U".

Correct. This guide should only be used on Wiis. Wii U's vWii is a different, but similar, monster.

Just confused, for Priiloader, do I only need to enable "Region Free EVERYTHING", or should I enable the other region free options? If I enable the other region free options will it cause instability to my Wii?

Odd, I thought my post didn't go through in the other thread, so I posted in this thread, my apologies; it was just this and the other thread that I attempted to post in. Are you able to offer a response to my question?

This guide pretty much spells out what you're after.
