Only Site Donators Can PM Staff
You'd do well to make a quick "hello" post in the Introductions section of the site --- something our rules really do strongly encourage. Yes, any guide (softmod guide) that isn't in the "Archived" section (mauifrog's older 4.3 guide, for example) is to be treated as still current/acceptable.
If you'd have looked at the bottom of post 1, page 1 you would see this: Last edited by mauifrog; 09-26-2010 at 04:02 PM.

Looks like a good guide, I'm about to start it.
-Does it need a SD card or a minisd with adapter is ok? What if I go with mini? Won't let me even to start? At least the Wii "knows" it has something inserted. I have three old minisd from unused cell phones.
-About Priiloader. It says it works to block updates. Currently I have wireless connection and my Wii detects it, but I'm not planning to let it to have it, I mean the WAP key is wrong on propose to avoid any updates. If a disk for some reason requires, I don't think I'll go for it, I will let it pass by. Am I ok with this?
Thanks in advance.

1. 2Gb Sandisk SD cards are recommended. You may run on errors if you're using minisd cards.
2. Yes, you can block disc and online updates with priiloader.

- It's not a guarantee that a mini will or will not work. You will have to try it and see.
- Do install Priiloader. There is no reason not to. It is usefull for more then just blocking updates. It can also be used as an unbricking tool if something bad was ever to happen to your Wii.

Updated to 4.3U now have issues
I updated Homebrew channel to the latest then ran windows update like Main Page - WiiBrew
"WiiBrew recommends that you run the latest version of the HackMii Installer and then optionally update your Wii to 4.3 using Nintendo's official updater."
I updated Homebrew channel and updated (did not update hackmii) before update I had cIOS 249 (I think?)
Now I have 4.3U and can open the homebrew manager. My WADs manager (channel) (v1.3) does not open.
Can I just install a cIOS to get things back to normal, if so which one (or ones)?
- Do I have to revert to an old OS (use to have 3.2U)?
I want to be able to run the Netflix channel after all said and done (which is now installed).
Any help would be great.

Part 1- Wad Installs error
Hi I am following the guide and first off wanted to say thanks for creating it!
Everything was going well untill the problem i just ran into.
I am on the step "Part 1- Wad Installs"
when I start HBC and try to launch bootmii the screen goes black and my wii disk area start blinking blue.
I am assuming that their needs to be a certain file on my sd card for this to work properly. However in the tutorial it told me to format my sd card.
Ps I am following this tutorial
I started using the SSBB section.

I just successfully finished the HBC and Bootmii install, plus NAND backup. I have not proceeded to the next stage "Part 1 - Wad Installs" so I'm hoping someone can answer Jkeeb's question just as much as he is. Thanks.

I am trying to run Bootmii (ios) to backup the NAND. Something strange happens; the screen flickers and loads up MMM.
