    I thought since I'm not modded yet, it's fine to update online. Well, I decided to play by your rules modding and updating the shop using the guide. Everything went as smooth as it could be. Worked like a charm. Only difference was that I used a 2gb micro SD in a convertor.
    Thanks a lot guys for a great guide.

    To any lurkers out there: this sentiment is a YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) thing. We recommend a fullsize SD card to avoid common pitfalls that often present in certain scenarios (microsd in adapter or SDHC) when users deviate from the guide. That being said, glad it all worked out for you.

    Hey guys new to the forum. I followed this guide to the letter and my usbloader gx keeps freezing at "initialising usb device". I have searched around here are the following things I have tried:

    FAT32 lexar jump drive that appears (no details on model, etc...) to be in a compability wiki list
    Wii backup manager build 78 to transfer wbfs backup files onto it
    USB placed in lowest USB port
    I have even tried the countdown trick where you plug in the usb after having opened usb loader gx still freezes during the countdown

    I have the newer 4.3U black wii used letterbomb to mod

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help

    @dursp:

    Try a different device, sounds like a compatibility issue. Are you using cIOS 249, 250, or?

    Lowest USB port? Try the one closest to the edge.

    Thanks guys. Not sure why but after formatting and trying for the millionth time it worked through wiiflow. The only thing I changed was the packet size to 16 when formatting to fat32 and I left out a game or two. Either way thans for the suggestions maybe it was just your good vibes that got it working who knows. By the way after getting it to work with wiiflow usb loader seems to have changed its mind and is working too!

    The guide had a link to the FAT32 guide at bottom under the heading "Loading From USB-"

    i followed all the instructions up until part 3 which i sort of forgot about even tho it said 'don't forget'. i copied the files from the SD card from the first 2 steps onto my laptop because i didn't know if they had to stay on the card. then i realized i had missed step 3 and none of the apps 'wiiflow...' work(even tho i can see them on my screen). i then put the files for the apps onto my SD card and into my Wii but it didn't register that the card was even in there. i tried putting all the other files back on too but i cant get past the main homebrew screen and my Wii insists that the card is not inserted. did i just mess the whole thing up? is there a way to start over. and if so then what should i do differently? please help if you can =)

    on reading it again i see i WAS supposed to format the card between each chapter and i did. i guess i just dont understand how to properly install neogamma, wiiflow, and the rest in that app pack. i am a bit comfused about the steps in chapter 3. and where to eventually put my iso file for the game i have

    Well, you answered your first questions by reading some more. How about applying that same philosophy again? The answers to your questions are spelled out in the guide. Aside from hand holding, not sure how much more clear and simple it can be...
