It sounds like you're following someone else's guide and not ours. We cannot offer support for other people's guides much in the way you can't expect Sony to repair an Xbox. If you are using the Softmod ANY Wii guide (this very one you're posting in) then please clarify the issue you're having and which part of the guide it is you're having the problem in, because I don't see the part of our guide that instructed you to do what you're doing. We'll do our best to help.

i guess you really are following another method mate. it would be best i think to get answers from the one who made the guide you are getting info from. that way, errors encountered will be easily resolved.

    good luck!

As I don't see heckman as this guide's author (originally this was mauifrog's guide; CJizzle maintains it), I fail to see the relevance of your post in a guide you're not following. It'd be one thing to start your own thread in the newbie section (although most don't try to fix someone else's mess), but posting in an established guide and acknowledging you're not following said guide is counterproductive to say the least.

Going into Wal-Mart and attempting to return something not sold at Wal-Mart and demanding them to "make it right" is tantamount to what you're doing here.

The guide will work for any Wii except for the new "Wii Mini" which launched in Canada in Nov 2012 and in the United States in Nov 2013.

If the Wii has an SD card slot, it will work.

We recommend you use 1.1.0 on a Wii.

The only functional differences between 1.1.0 and 1.1.2 are for Wii U "VWii" purposes.

Not that we're saying it won't harm if it is on a Wii, but the "isn't broke, don't fix it" rule applies here, so 1.1.0 is recommended.

Just as Menu 4.1 is recommended over 4.3, since the only differences between then are attempts to stop softmodding.

What is the latest version after doing the update? I think 1226 may be that latest version, but I'm not 100% sure.

And for deleting unwanted channels, you can go into Wii Menu -> Settings -> Data Management -> Channels, then uninstall whatever channels you no longer want from there.
