Sorry, I was just freaking out because I just bought this wii and I did not want to brick it. The guide said that it's highly unlikely that I would get errors and if I did I shouldn't exit or I might brick it. Recently I've been having some odd power outages so I just wanted to get it done quickly or I might lose power. Again, sorry. Won't do that again

I must be missing something here. I'm trying to use letterbomb method. Panasonic SD Formatter only formats to FAT. Not FAT32. But this guide is clear that I need to be formatted to FAT32. Should I go ahead with FAT?

EDIT: I'm already modded, so I'm just going to run Hackmii though HBC. But still, is regular FAT okay?

Would just like to comment that this is one of the coolest guides ever. Followed it some years ago when me and my friend wanted to softmod our Wii and followed it again to resoftmod my Wii after my SD card messed everything up. +1

Appreciated , but this is a family site so if you'd please watch the language that would be appreciated as well

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Ok I am having a problem installing the WAD's. I do every step exactly how it is instructed. When I launch WiiMod and select the WAD folder, I press 1 and nothing happens and nothing loads. This is driving me insane. Please help ASAP

I forgot to mention that I have a Wii 4.3U with Homebrew already installed if that helps anyone answer my previous concern.

I followed the Wii Hack guide to the letter (excellent guide BTW). My only question is this, it seems that Neogamma, CFG Loader, Wii Flow and USB Loader are all ran from the SD card instead of the Wii internal memory itself, no? For instance, HBC is accessible without the SD, How do I install these channels to the actual Wii memory itself so that I don't need the SD Card?

Did you install the files from ModPack and/or IOS Update to the root of your SD card?

Did you then run the md5summer program to validate that everything is in place?

That isn't recommended since it makes it hard to update when a new version comes out. We've had a lot of people say "I installed the version you gave, but I still get the old one running" because the old version was installed in full as a channel, not just a forwarder.

If your hard drive is FAT32 formatted, you can tell HBC to look for the USB device for apps instead of SD card, and install the apps in usb:/apps instead of sd:/apps. The forwarder then should be able to find them just the same.

if you are using something other than FAT32 for your hard drive, then you have to have the SD card in, since HBC needs to read files from a FAT32 formatted hard drive.
