    0. You'd get error messages. Did you get any? (Wad failures)

    1. SysCheck looks good. No further functionality (to the user's benefit) exist on System Menu 4.2 or 4.3; they are simply further anti-piracy attempts from Nintendo. Yes, you can proceed.

    2. See second sentence in #1.

    3. If you mean the IOSUpdate pack --- not since you're on System Menu 4.3, you will not need to reinstall or install them.

    4. Then don't. If you followed our guide (your IOS 60 shows you did), you'll be OK. DON'T DEVIATE FROM THE GUIDE is what that means.

    Ok !! Many thanks for the help nightstah !

    I did everything that the guide said in the Chapter 2 and everything went fine !

    Now that i am in Chapter 3 i have 2 questions:

    1) In Chapter 3 it is saying to me that i need to download de APP Pack v5... but i just checked the contents and many app is outdated so, is there any problems with using these outdated apps or i need to download the newest ones from the site source of each app to proceed?

    2) Very Important Question, please answer with details or examples: Since i bought my first wii last 20 days and i am very new to this wii world... Is it secure to connect to the internet? What i can do with my wii with the internet? Can i play games in the internet? What i must not do when my wii is conected to the internet because depending on what i do i could brick the wii.

    And thanks to everyone that helped me reach the final chapter of this guide: llaffer, SNES_Master and nightstah ! everything went fine !

    1. Download the app pack. They use forwarders to point to the boot.dol in the relevant directory. If you're feeling adventurous, you could replace individual boot.dol files with later versions (just make sure you put them where they're supposed to go).

    2. If you've installed Priiloader and enabled the relevant hacks, there's no chance of an accidental update. Yes, some games offer an online component and it would rely on such a connection. You can also access the Shop Channel, do Netflix, YouTube - you name it.

    Hey all,

    Its been a while since I felt the need to actually post a question as I have 3 modded wii's in the same household, all done with this guide. Which brings me to my question. Is modpack.zip not compatible with Windows 8? I ask because it's what my laptop has, it's relatively new (my previous mods were done with a diff laptop and XP), and I wanted to update the wii shop channel and add all of the new apps from what i've read in Maui's guide since my last mod. I'm getting "modpack.zip access denied" when I try to extract the files. I am logged in as administrator. However, I had no problem extracting and verifying IOS Update and the shop channel update (although the checksums failed one of the IOS updates). I just tried my neighbor's pc running XP, no luck either! Got IOS Update and shop channel no prob. Their pc wouldn't even let me download modpack.zip. Odd. Does anyone know what's going on? Is there a different mirror I can use?

    What are you using to extract the pack? Have you checked your firewall settings? Any checksum failure necessitates a re-download for the failed file(s) or wad(s). Make sure you're using a standard full size SD card (not MicroSD in an adapter nor SDHC) and FULLY format (not quick) to FAT32.

    Hi guys, I softmodded a friends 4.3E Wii last year, installed homebrew, usb loaders etc. I used Letterbomb to install the homebrew channel. Everything worked fine, the games loaded from an external HDD without any problems. Earlier tonight, I installed a few more wbfs games onto the external HDD using wiibackup manager. No problem the process ran smoothly. However when I connected the HDD back onto the wii, whatever channel I tried, be it the hombrew or USB loader, they would go to load but the screen remained blank. Nothng would load, the only way I could switch the console off was a long press on the power button. How can I fix these issues??? Thanks in advance guys, any help wit this will be very much appreciated

    @BigCol:

    Try without the USB HD plugged in. Load it up and see if any channel (without the HD) loads.

    Yes it worked, I tried this and should have mentioned it in my previous post. The hdd came up fine when I used wii backup manager to add more games on a pc. I dont get it, the hdd is or should be good as it was brand new last year and as I mentioned it comes up in wii backup manager.

    @BigCol:

    So that's the Wii that works without the drive, right? You sure you have it prepped and formatted correctly? When I'm left with fishing, best I can do is cast a big net.
