Post a SysCheck not a reply to this thread, but rather here. Both the directions on how to do so and the program itself can be found here.

Hello, I am trying to redo steps 1-3 in order to get a nand back up, but the hackmii installer is running boot.elf and I don't see it show up on the HBC I believe only .dol files will run. What do I do?

If your Wii is already hacked, which it sounds like it is given that you mentioned having the HBC, just put the BootMii files on your sd card and BootMii should be available by turning the system on or pressing home on the HBC.

This all assumes that you installed BootMii when you hacked your Wii in the first place, if you neglected to do so, for whatever reason, then you would have to use the Hackmii installer again to install BootMii.

The way you would go about that would depend on your system menu version, you can't load Hackmii from the HBC (there's no point in doing so really since Hackmii is mainly for installing the HBC).

Hopefully I've explained this in a clear and understandable way.

If you have BootMii installed and followed this guide (the one you're currently posting in), all files pertinent to BootMii should be on your PC. The guide clearly tells you to put it in a safe place in case it's needed. Where exactly you put yours I couldn't say, but mine reside safely on my desktop.

I don't have the original PC which I did all of this on, while I was gone for 4 months gill net fishing people broke my PC. Otherwise I would have access to my original NAND back up.

Everything is from scratch for me now

Hey SNES, he needs to rerun the Hackmii Installer, select bootmii, then select "prepare an SD card".....that gets him the required files to access bootmii...

And going to bootmii.org will give hackmii 1.1.2, of which if OP is running HBC 1.1.0 will not be compatible with bootmii from 1.1.2.... causing confusion here bud lol

Ah. Sorry, I totally forgot BootMii needs to prepare the sd card to generate specific files. Thank you for clarifying that.

To further clarify, there is no such thing as a bootmii.dol. Bootmii is installed as boot2 or as an IOS and is accessed via the HBC (no dol's required). The only dol that IS needed is the hackmii installer for when you initially install both bootmii and the HBC or when you need to "prepare the sd card". After those three steps are complete you dont need it anymore.

Ok so I don't use the site he recommended? I am following the information given from the 1st post of the page but the boot.elf of hackmii doesn't show up in my HBC, I was using dol file before.

I am unsure what to do in order to get my HBC to read boot.elf Should i removed it completely and install via bannerbomb in order to read .elf ?
