You pretty much just need to get a new SD card and rebuild your app collection.
But first, if your mod is 3 years old, I would suggest that you mod your system again using the guide (it has been updated over the years to stay current).
When you get to chapter 3, you will get an app pack, a collection of recommended apps to start with, which includes 3 USB Loaders and Home Brew Browser.
Within Home Brew Browser, you can search for, download, and install whatever emulators you are looking for.
As for your ROM collection, you are on your own.

Chapter 1 / Part 2
"Prepare the SD-card"
What does this mean? At this point, the SD card is still in the console & part 2 is complete.

While in the Bootmii installation screen in the Hackmii Installer, "Prepare the SD Card" is an option. You are supposed to select it.

After having a huge amount of trouble trying to update our family Wii I stumbled across this page and am very, very grateful to the person who put all the effort into the detail of the guide. Not having hacked anything before I was a little nervous of following this guide but seeing as the official update through the Wii options had essentially bricked our Wii I had little to lose. The guide was easy to follow for anyone who is used to saving files on a computer and we can now run all the games we could before and also I have been able to add channels to get better functionality than before. I got several Nintendo error codes (32004, 32007 etc, etc, etc) through the official route and absolutely no useful information on Nintendo's website. As yet I have had only an automated "we'll get back to you whenever" reply to the support e-mail I sent. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I have bought a used white Wii which has an old Softmod. It is working fine but
apparently the power button on the console is not working. I use the power-
button on the Wiimote to put the console to sleep or wake it up.
The current stats of the console are as follows...
System Menu 4.1U
Homebrew 1.0.5 IOS 36 v12.22
NeoGamma R7 IOS 249 (Rev 14)
Also, the red/orange light on the Power Button of the console doesn't go off.
If I have to completely switch off the console, I have to unplug it.
I don't have a GC controller. Will this non-working power button lead to
any problem if I attempt to Softmod? According to this guide, the power button
is only used during the following 2 occasions...
1. NAND backup
Power, Power, Power, Reset, Reset
2. Installing Priiloader
When finished the HBC should load.
Hold reset on the wii console, keep holding reset - priiloader will load
****If the wii freezes, hold the power down for 10sec.****
****Only install priiloader once, you need to hold reset to load priiloader****
Is it used any other place in the guide? Can I attempt to Softmod with this restriction?

You should get a gamecube controller. It's easier than trying to get the power button repaired. Making a nand backup is a necessary step and without a power button or GC controller you're not going to be able to do this.

Thanks BluPhant. At my place, it would probably be cheaper to get the power button rectified & pay to softmod it rather than buy a GC controller that I do not intend to use for gaming.
I will go through the guide & post my query regarding the version numbers in this guide (to direct & cross-chk wht the modder guy does).

the POWER switch need to be activated when u need to start-up Priiloader in case of Wii-Brick; or getting into Rescue Mode after Wii-Brick.
rectify the switch is a nice option. if u're lucky, the malfunctional switch might have been caused by a poor solder joint(s) on the mother board. Or, misaligned mechanism (mother board and front panel)..... inspect and re-solder it, if required, before u really need to buy a new switch for replacement.
the red/orange light on the Power Button of the console doesn't go off meaning the CONSOLE has the Wii_Connect24 function activated (ON) before.
u can go into SETUP and set the Connect24 ON/OFF options.
