    I already did it. Do you mean to do the same steps again?

    You recommend in your guide an older (v6) version of IOS 249. I will try it tomorrow.

    if you have v8, you should be good. The v6 in the other link exists since it's an older doc and that was current at the time.

    I think your mod is good, which now means the problem is either configuration of the USB loaders and/or the hard drive itself.

    I think you should format your SD card and reload the contents of app pack v5 (chapter 3 of the guide) to make sure you have recent versions of the usb loaders.

    How is the hard drive formatted? Which program did you use to do so? (did you follow the guides NTFS or FAT32 that I linked?)

    It doesn't cause trouble. You can have both installed at the same time if you wish to. I do....

    For 99.9% of people, it would only confuse them having two HBCs. It is completely unnecessary. The only reason I have two is because I purchased another boot2 Wii that was already modded with ModMii, therefore it had 1.1.2. When I got it for some reason I couldn't access bootmii. It took some tinkering around with it, but I eventually figured out that an older version of bootmii was installed. So in order to access the older bootmii I had to install 1.1.0. Since they are two different title IDs I then had two different HBCs. At first I thought there might be some conflicts, but there weren't any from any of the apps that I experimented with, so I just left it just in case I needed to use it for something.

    So basically, for the end user of the ANY Wii Guide who just wants to play their backed up games and such, don't have two HBCs. If you are familiar with the processes though and want to experiment it doesn't hurt, but don't go spamming the boards when something doesn't work with 1.1.2 lol

    It sounds like I'm having the same problem as zerofill. Followed the guide, but none of the USB loaders work for me. they just return to the home screen almost immediately when trying to use them. I've tried two different drives, one 8gb flash drive and another portable external HDD, but neither of them work (both formatted to FAT32). Here's my syscheck report. Also, can anyone tell me what the "upload report" feature does? I used it, but couldn't figure out where it uploaded to and can't find info on that online.

    @merciscool:

    You did install the app pack to the SD card and have the SD card in the Wii's card slot, right? You'd get that identical result if it can't find the boot.dol on the card (which is what the forwarder points to).

    If they just return to the home screen without any errors, it sounds like you may not have extracted the app pack from chapter 3 correctly. The path for gx for example should look like SD/apps/usbloader_gx/boot.dol

    And the upload feature will just give you a pastebin link iirc.

    Edit: takes a lot longer to type on the mobile app nightstah, you beat me to it lol

    Thanks both of you! The confusion and my error came from Chapter 3 of the guide, where it says to extract the app pack directly to the SD card. With the previous steps it always mentions that the files should be put in the root of the SD, so I did that and didn't put the actual "apps" folder on the SD card. The guide should probably clarify that, but it was my mistake. The loaders open now.
