    Ruggerxpunk:

    Definitely waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of date. Follow the guide you posted this in; you may start at the spoiler entitled, "Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed" found below Chapter 1, Part 1. Then go all the way through the rest of the guide without skipping steps. And yes, you will want the IOSupdate pack mentioned and included in the guide. If you're curious, compare your SysCheck against the one found in the guide spoilers labeled "Cios FAQ- What this mod installs" directly above the Chapter 1 heading.

    It takes everyone a different amount of time, it depends on your experience with this kind of thing, ability to follow the guides directions, wether or not you have issues installing the wad files...there's a few factors. It took me roughly 30-40minutes but maybe not the same for everyone else. Best advice; don't rush it. Take your time and do it right.

    Two different approaches to do the same thing. Letterbomb relies on a specific site being up (sometimes it's not), while Wiibrand a different one.

    I've tried Wii Brand and I couldn't get it working right. The exploited letter ended up being generated 10 years in the past (my computer's date is set correctly) and even when I did drill down to find it, with including my own boot.elf file to launch hackmii installer (the letterbomb website supplies everything you need for you), it still failed on me. So I prefer letterbomb over the other.

    Other people somehow have gotten Wii Brand to work just fine. So your mileage may vary.

    And I think you read that wrong. New remotes do not with with OLD homebrew. If the homebrew is at least a year old, it should use new remotes just fine as well.
    would u mind to clearly indicating which version (and newer) of HBC should support the new wiimote controller (ie. the controller with built-in motionPlus feature) ??
    and, the latest HBC version is 1.x.x. (???)
    thank you !!

    saying HBC of "a year older" is a bit harder for some people to think of..... :P

    @billy:

    I suspect he meant app development/revision, not HBC itself. V1.1.0 is still what's recommended for this guide. Stagnant applications that have not been updated for over a year may not work with the newer wiimotes.

    thanks for the prompt reply.

    I've hbc_v1.1.0 on my Wii. having difficulty to use the "New wiimote (with built-in motionPlus)" to play with NeoGamma and CFG. the wiimote just loss sync after activiating those Loaders. Yet, playing the usbloader-GX is fine. .... any idea about the handicap , please ??

    Exactly. Each individual application needs to be recompiled using the latest dev tools in order to be able to use the new remotes.

    This is why priiloader 0.7 can't use the new remote, but priiloader 0.8 beta can (which is why we supply it as part of softmod any wii).

    So if you have old WAD managers, such as WAD Manager 1.7 or MMM, you can't use the new remote as they are older apps. Wii Mod 3.2 can use new remotes, etc.
