    3. I put the apps and wad folder in the empty 2gb sd card. Along side Private and boot.elf from the older files.
    4. I loaded it up to homebrew channel the homebrew channel did not detect any apps.

    This is my issue.
    Should I reinstall homebrew channel or should I not. Would it help any?
    Try pressing 1 and choosing SD. It may be defaulting to your USB drive.

    Ok well thanks snes_master. You put up with me and my troubles.

    I have system version 4.3, but snes_master said I should fix my ios system.
    Should I update it?

    Ok so I am now at part 1 wad installs and my homebrew channel isn't recgonizing the SD device again.
    I press 1 and select SD and it crashes.

    @thorgrim:

    Please don't double post, use the edit button below your post if you forget something. And under SNES_Master's name -- see the staff designation? He knows his stuff, don't go around seeking differing opinions. I get you're new, but anyone we have given that title to is qualified to competently answer you unless that user says otherwise.

    I decided to break out he old wii and I realized I hadn't used it in almost 2 years. I started from scratch with this guide and I had issues throughout the entire process. WiiMod was very hit or miss (would install 2 wads then just stop). Finally got everything installed and now I cannot seem to install or play any games. I cannot start USB Loader GX or Configurable USB Loader. When it comes to WiiFlow I can view what is on my HDD and even move around a bit, but when I try and install a game it just freezes. Playing any game will bring me to a black screen. What is the best way to tackle this?
    EDIT: Also wow, been a member for over 3 years and this is my first post.
    EDIT2: Started fresh from the start and can now access everything. I think that my previous softmod had some leftover files. So starting from stock again really cleared it up.

    Having an up to date system menu (4.3) and having a up to date/problem free Softmod are 2 different things. As I recommended before, you should use this guide to fix your Softmod as when I checked it it appeared almost non existent.. It definitely wasn't a WiiHacks Softmod that's for sure.

    Alright guys I actually this was weird, but the issue with the sd card crashing was some dirt or dust on the sd card.
    I'm sorry for all the trouble. I fixed the post.
    I said that thing earlier snes_master as I did not know what I was doing once again.
    What I thought I had to do was replace the
    wad file
    with WAD from the IOS updater. This was in fact incorrect

    Hi guys, I have a quick question. What does the following line mean?

    alternate BBv1 files-B, C, D, E- If the boot.dol does not load, try these, just extract to sd:\

    @rettofaia:

    Every once in awhile, the usual Banner Bomb exploit won't work on a specific Wii. There are a few variants of the exploit provided so that if the one won't load, you may try the others. That's what it means.

    Excellent guide. Better than any other I've seen - it includes everything, and no steps are left out. I had to reformat my SDHC card because I had it on quick format originally, and had to use Wilbrand exploit rather than LetterBomb because please.hackmii seemed to be down while I was working on it. As another post noted, sending a memo/message to oneself seems to trigger the exploit message to show up more readily. All of those changes were made easier by the fact that they were built into your instructions as additional options, so I didn't have to search elsewhere and then wonder if the option I found was compatible. Fully softmodded Wii 4.3u, including SM downgrade to 4.1, with older wiimotes! By the way, the card I used was a 4GB SanDisk Micro SDHC in a full-size SD card adapter, formatted as FAT at 64kb, not using Quick Format (learned my lesson). I completed erased the card after each section of the guide to keep things clean, and so the MD5 checksum would actually work and I could be sure my downloads were complete and not corrupted. Everything was smooth as silk...

    Having trouble at Part 1- Wad Installs. I could see the wad files in WAD Manager. But installation failed and Wii freezed. I waited but nothing changed, so I pressed some buttons, nothing changed. I had to hard-boot.

    I powered on again and everything seemed ok. I played game for a couple of minute. Then I did the process again and I faced an error page. Similar to Windows BSOD except the background is black. I tried for a couple of times but same. So I rebooted.

    After reboot, I played game for a few minutes and everything okay. When I get into WAD Manager, couldn't see the wad files anymore. They can be seen in PC. No files in WAD directory. What should I do now? Did I do any damage? Thanks.
