If your soft mod has the most recent version of shop channel (v21), yes. that install is an optional step in chapter 2 of this guide.
I have purchased a wii that is currently 4.3u and the latest store update. Is this guide still up to date for my wii? Also should I follow the downgrade to 4.1 portion of this guide?
Also how do i include the most recent gxloader was with this. I am up to chapter 3
Thanks in advance.
Look at the "last edited" date and revision info. Not too promising, those mad comprehension skills (LOL). Use the USB Loader GX that's included please (stability still to be determined on latest build of GX). Downgrading by following that section TO THE LETTER will give you options for certain kinds (not all) of brick in terms of recovery --- so yes.
Do I install the 30 wads from the modpack before downgrading to 4.1, also when i downgrade to 4.1 do I format the sd card first or do I need to keep the data from modpack on the sd card?
Ok, I went through and completed all steps in the guide last night. I had a backup of wii sports resort and it plays however it hard freezes randomly. I have to power off the wii by holding the power button. It freezes for example at the end of a bowling match, or in the middle of a table tennis match, or at the mii selection screen. Any suggestions?
Also, I downgraded to 4.1u Will I be able to play PAL region games from the usbloader? Or do I have to do anything special to make them work?
Thank you for all of your help. The guide was very straight foward and made total sense once I started.
It could be a bad rip. Does the original disk have any issues? And your USB loader can play out-of-region games, just make sure you have it set to force your region (in your case, NTSC-U).Originally Posted by aciovacco
