The reason we left it in there was because if you have an older console that can run backup discs, chances are you have an old Wiimote as well. You can also launch backup discs from UsbLoader GX if need be.

I found an alternate version of the neogamma boot.dol of which is said to be compatible, but since I dont have any of those remotes I cant test it. Download HERE and extract it directly to your sd/apps/neogamma folder, overwriting the existing boot.dol when prompted. Let us know if it works for you!
This "boot.dol" does in fact make NeoGamme UI functional with TR remote. (Model WIV Z-C4)
I had this .dol before I had to re-homebrew\hack my new box (I combined 2 other guides that didnt work) this one was complete in an hour (THANK YOU!)
Now that I haveNG working my new wii can't read backup discs haha!
I thought NG could load from USB but I'll have to use the cnf USB loader.
All is good and thank you for the information.
    For another post eventually...
I am trying to decide if xbmc (win7HP HTPC)\Hyperspin\Android Unified Remote) can replace (improve cross platform functionality) Wii since I cannot integrate Wii (only the remote to control everything) console into xbmc. I have to change input video device in on the IPTV flatscreen to get the Wii video to display which doesn't make for a seemless presentation. Yada yada...
It is a media center I am building for my home that utilizes mysql to enable communication between different rooms in the house etc...

The "black screen" problem I had showed it's ugly head once again yesterday while trying to play Sports Resort. It really frustrated me, cause I thought I already fixed it. At this point I asked a friend for a new rip. Finally got the game working.

Every other game that I've tried worked fine. Sadly, I still have a small problem... Some of the games run smoothly while playing, but while watching cut-scenes or tutorial videos or practice plays, there's a little lag/freeze.

Examples: Epic Mickey 1 & 2 - cut-scenes freeze for a second, than continue playing until they freeze up again. No problem in gameplay. / Mario Sports Mix - There's practice plays (tutorials) before each game - again, it freezes. While playing normally, no problem at all. The only in-game freeze I found was in Wii Sports and Sports Resort. It's for less than a second and only when you start a new game, but you still notice it.

Now, because the problem doesn't really affect me while playing, I can live with it. But still, it makes me wonder... Is it because of the game rips or something else ? Any opinion or advice on the matter will be greatly appreciated.
I actually loaded Wii Sports Resort Yesterday (was hoping to from my backup disk wbfs) but wasn't able to with my newer version Wii.
I actually placed the file on my SD card (am moving today to a usb flash drive formatted to wbfs) and it works flawlessly. I followed the guide exactly and it works for me which leads to the question - maybe it is the source disk \ iso \ wbfs that is the problem?
I can email you a file of WSR if you like. PM me for mine - I have 2 different versions that I made that work...

i might have gotten it working. the drive i was using was in wbfs, (yes i know you RECOMMEND fat32, but my wbfs was all i had, and it works all sweet in my wii, so should in these) but i formatted another one to fat32, and itat leastloaded the game. but it still came up with the error, and then continued to load.

    will report back.
I cant get any of the loadrs to read FAT32 - I am reformatting a flash USB to see if WBFS works on mine...that's weird...

    @xdamageincx:

Am I reading your post one correctly --- you're willing to do what with WSR? If that's an offer as to what it sounds like, you need to read the forum rules (that you already had accepted). Also, we do have a FAT32 guide --- suggest you read it. There's also a USB HD (which includes flash drives) compatibility thread --- you might look there.

Gotcha...Just delete that sucker. I had another post but it said it was going to be moderated.
It turns out that the file naming was all it was. I corrected the file name and presto, FAT32 orks great. All is good. Now to backing up my games!

Stick to your other thread, please. Cross-posting is against the forum rules --- have you even read them?

Clearly. That's why I just reset your rules acceptance (as you've been so... recently reminded, and not just by my hand) now. READ'EM.

    "hi all

    im after some clarification.

im trying to get ssbb to work on my mates wii for him, but it wont work.

    just after some clarification.

the troublesom games thread says to use "D2x Rev 21 cIOS, as well as cIOS222/223 v4/v5.1"
    and the guide states that
IOS222 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0 -hermes v4 base-38
IOS223 (rev 65535): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0 -hermes v4 base -37/38

and that the d2x are from 245 onwards. just wondering if i need to point the loader to one of them opposed to 222/223?

as, when i use auto, it loads up and i get past the save data section, then the screen goes white and i have to hard reboot the console; on 222 & 223, it just loads to the white screen (no other info) and scrolls upwards, like the av settings are wrong.

just wanting to know where i went wrong if anywhere, or where should i look for a solution? i searched around, but i couldn't find a problem similar to mine.

also, i have tried in both cfg loader, and gx.
have also tried to re-split the game in wii game manager; same problem.

    cheers

I just tried loading SSBB with CFG's default cIOS of 248, and it worked just fine. Try it with 248. If it didn't work, then try redumping the disk using the loader and it will split the file properly.

-Press 1 to batch install all 3 wads. Press A to confirm. All 3 wads MUST install without error!
!!!IMPORTANT!!! These wads must install correctly! Do not exit if you get errors. In the highly unlikely event you do get errors, post here in this thread. DO NOT shut off your Wii. Wait patiently for an answer!!!
hey, thanks for the guide very much!!
I've ran into a problem, I've had a softmodded wii for about a year now and bought a wii u and now i want to get to the shop channel to transfer my games i bought, I tried downgrading to 4.1 to do so but the 3 wads that are mentioned did not install correctly and i would hate to brick my wii.

    EULA-NUS-Uv2.wad - OK!
    Region Select-NUS-U-V2.wad - OK!
    RVL-WiiSystemmenu-v449.wad - Title (-1035)

hopefully the power stays on ;P
