STAFF EDIT: This post originally said "Do I need to use the IOS update.zip if I'm on 4.3u?" At some point after the below responses were given, the OP changed it to 3.4u, making the below responses appear to be incorrect. To anyone else reading this, the below responses were based on the original question, "Do I need to use the IOS update.zip if I'm on 4.3u?"
So which System Menu version are you on anyways? Big difference between the two! If you are on 3.4u, then yes you need to install the IOS Update. Actually, you need to go back and follow the entire guide again. Dont skip anything. That should solve your issues.

I don't need to redo the whole guide, I can just update the IOS using the same method before right? I'm on system ver. 3.4u.

Following the whole guide again will insure you have the proper setup. Start at the section labeled "Softmods with Homebrew Channel Installed".

If you keep skipping around theres a chance something wont be right. Best to just do it right one time than to take the chance on running into more problems, wouldn't you agree?

I completd the mod (TR wiimote made others non functional) and everything seems to be ok except...
NeoGama - My remote doesn't work with the gui. It works with all others. Is there something I need to change (.dol file?)

All apps are compatible with the new tr remotes(AFAIK). Try a fresh install.

    Sent from my IPhone,Jax.

Actually I dont believe this version of Neogamma is compatible with the TR remotes. Neogamma is mainly for backup disc loading, which is only compatible with older Wii consoles. The reason we left it in there was because if you have an older console that can run backup discs, chances are you have an old Wiimote as well. You can also launch backup discs from UsbLoader GX if need be.

I found an alternate version of the neogamma boot.dol of which is said to be compatible, but since I dont have any of those remotes I cant test it. Download HERE and extract it directly to your sd/apps/neogamma folder, overwriting the existing boot.dol when prompted. Let us know if it works for you!

Added the following edit to post 1:

Neogamma - This is a forwarder to Neogamma R9 Beta 56. It is primarily used to load backups from disc, however it also supports loading from SD/USB. Source HERE, WiiHacks Guide HERE.
Note Regarding Neogamma: This app is NOT compatible with the newer TR Remotes. If your Wii can play backups from disc AND you have a TR motion plus remote, we suggest the following: Prior to launching Neogamma have your TR remote as player 1 and activate a non-TR remote as player 2. In this way you can navigate the Neogamma menu with the player 2 remote. After launching a game you can use your player 1 remote without issue.

It's me again. Just wanna say that I finally got everything up and running and I didn't even have to install d2x cIOS.
The "black screen" problem I had showed it's ugly head once again yesterday while trying to play Sports Resort. It really frustrated me, cause I thought I already fixed it. At this point I asked a friend for a new rip. Finally got the game working.

Every other game that I've tried worked fine. Sadly, I still have a small problem... Some of the games run smoothly while playing, but while watching cut-scenes or tutorial videos or practice plays, there's a little lag/freeze.

Examples: Epic Mickey 1 & 2 - cut-scenes freeze for a second, than continue playing until they freeze up again. No problem in gameplay. / Mario Sports Mix - There's practice plays (tutorials) before each game - again, it freezes. While playing normally, no problem at all. The only in-game freeze I found was in Wii Sports and Sports Resort. It's for less than a second and only when you start a new game, but you still notice it.

Now, because the problem doesn't really affect me while playing, I can live with it. But still, it makes me wonder... Is it because of the game rips or something else ? Any opinion or advice on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

You got a grudge against the V9 beta? It's pretty well documented that if there's "issues" with USB 3.0 drives, that revision may "fix" what presents in terms of problems with V8. That sounds like inefficient USB throughput (which is... controlled by d2x cIOS --- get me?) You don'a wanna try it --- hey, that's fine --- but then don't complain when advice is given/dispensed, and you choose not to try it. It won't "break" your Wii; worst case, you can revert back to V8.
