Now... ok, sorry, I'm a noob, a dumb, a a**hole, but I don't know how can I change the boot to cIOS222... I'm having problems with USB drums for RB/GH and wanna try cIOS222.

But I don't know how can I do this... I've installed all the WADs, but don't know how to change CFGloader from 249 to 222...

    Please help!

The only reason you would want to use cIOS222 is if you are using a FAT32 hard drive, if not then stay with the 249. But if you insist on the cIOS222 you can follow this guide, http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...g-playing.html
Should find info on installing and configure CFGloader for cIOS222. Read section "[Installing a Backup Loader]".

Another thing i have thought of is my 1tb HDD i have formatted to 400gig WBFS and 600 gig NTSC (for my pc backup). I read somewhere it might pay to have a fat32 partition on there to use instead of my 2gb sd card? If that is worth doing can i partition the drive without affecting my WBFS partion (i will partition part of the NTSC) adn how large shoul i make the fat32? i doubt i will use many homebrew or wiiware application but who knows in the future? My main concern is just playing the games off my HDD.
That's exactly what I've done with my USB HDD. Only mine is 500Gb.

I've made a 10Gb FAT32 as first partition for Homebrew, Triiforce, WiiMC, etc...
A 230Gb WBFS partition for backup play with USB Loader GX
And the rest Gb in NTFS partition for Movies and such.

No need for SD card anymore and lots of space for covers, roms, wiiware, etc...

Only if your console is old enough to install bootmii as boot2 can you restore the NAND using the console (other wise it would need to be sent away for programming).

You won't brick if you pay attention to what you are doing....unless you are really really unlucky.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Well I recall installing it as boot2 a while back (that's the one where you turn on the wii and the bootmii menu appears right?)
and I already backuped my wii, so I'm guessing I'm good to go?

    Confused

    Greetings!

I'm glad I have found a website where I can actually ask people that know about this. Just yesterday, I bought a used Wii at the store. I plugged in it to see what version it was and it's version 4.3U. Now, I've been trying to read all your guides on how to hack the Wii and being able to play backed up games from the SD card and such.

What concerns me is that everytime I see a huge "DO NOT UPDATE TO 4.3" or "THIS WILL BRICK YOUR WII" I get confused as to If i'm actually able to or not.

Now, I honestly don't know how to work with the wii, like I said, I bought it yesterday. I don't know if I can follow these guides even if its a used Wii. If I have to downgrade first or what.

Could somebody please help me with this?

PS. I formatted the Wii so now it's completly mine.

Just follow the instruction on the first post you should be good to go..
The huge "DO NOT UPDATE TO 4.3"is for people that are not on 4.3 and is a warning since 4.3 requires having a specific game to do the mod where anything lower then 4.3 does not.

    Hope that helped.

    Oh!
So if I'm 4.3U that means I HAVE to get either one of these two games and follow the guide and it should be good? (Sorry I'm repeating what you said I just want to make sure :P.) I honestly don't want to brick the thing... lol. Also, I can just rent the game and do it with that, right?
