You are not making any sense. Do you have administrator rights? If not, you will not be able to do any scan and fix operation. What format was your drive in before this problem?

It's FAT32 and I do have admin rights. I'm using the home version of Acronis rather then the advanced. It wont show my HDD in that program. I'm wondering if it's because of me using the home version. It will only recognize my 2 partitions on my drive that came with mylaptop.

The guide suggest a tool to use if you're having problems with formatting.

    Hi,
I followed the guide on a 4.3U Wii that actually has a hardmod OpenWii in it (though that doesn't really affect the process). Everything went smoothly.

In "Chapter 2" of the guide, I did modpack.zip and RVL-Shopping-v21.zip but not "IOS update.zip" because I'm already on 4.3. After the whole modding process was done, I went somewhere in the settings or shop menu and it suggested I download a system update - I of course said NO but now I wonder, should I have done the IOS update.zip?

Also I realized while typing this, that I skipped the recommended part about downgrading to 4.1U. Is it actually worth doing this? And if so, do I start the mod process from scratch or just do that step?

Be sure you've enabled the Priiloader hacks to block disk and Internet updates. I still get asked whenever I connect to a new network. I just hit no and forget about it.

I need to change it without deleting any data off my HDD. I have all my Games, DVDs etc ripped to it. I was told that that program would work without deleting anything as its formatted properly.

If you can't get it working with that program, then you're next best option would be to back up that data to another hard drive, format it with a different tool (EaseUS), then move the data back.

You'd be done by now if you've done these steps from the beginning instead of using a tool that fewer people have expirience in.

You might still have an out-of-date IOS56 or IOS62. If you came across the update requeset when trying to go to Wii Shop, then look at this guide to see if this helps: http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...annel-v21.html

Acronis Disk Director (trial), or MiniTool
Can you access your USB HDD from your computer ? if not you may have to assign a drive letter for the USB drive. In Disk Management Find the USB drive Right-click the portion of the screen that represents the USB drive, and then click the "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." option.
Click the "Change..." button in the window that opens.
    Make sure the button
next to "Assign the following drive letter:" is chosen, choose the desired drive letter for your USB drive, and then click the "OK" button.
Now you should be able to access it from Acronis Disk Director. I only use the
Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced, because of no data loss, so I do not know if the home version will work. If you use any other HDD program, you will have to backup everything first.

You can't change cluster size or the filesystem type without formatting. This will erase everything on the drive. If you want to keep what is there on the drive then you need to back it up to another drive/device or re-rip everything.
