Ok so I followed the steps from start to beginning on a new SD card. Everything is backed up and installed yet USB loader GX has the same USB error. The other USB loader app works and runs my backups. At least I got it to work but not the USB loaderGX.

what type of hdd or usb device are you using ? have you checked the usb compatibility list guide out ?
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...lity-list.html

Also if you still have problems follow this link and download and extract. Then open the R1208_IOS222-249-250 folder, then open the R1208_IOS249 folder and copy and paste the new boot.dol file into your main usbloader gx folder and replace the old boot.dol file (usbloader gx folder is in your apps folder)DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THE BOOT.ELF FILE.... Also make sure to delete the old config or cfg text file in your current usb loader gx file so the update doesnt screw up.
    R1208_IOS222-249-250.7z

You could also try replacing the d2x-v8final wads with the d2x-v9 wads and install them over the top of the v8 ones using multi mod manager but i dont have the download link for the v9 ones..maybe a mod could help you more...im just stating what helped me get my usb loader gx working.

Any mods care to expand on what i have said ?

is the letter bomb site please.hackmii.com not working? I put in the mac address and captcha and hitting either red or blue wire and it does not do anything. It eventually times out and I get an error stating that google could not connect to the website. Anyone else having this issue?

I am working through this, but find this confusing...

If you would like to update your Wii IOS:
    Download IOS Update.zip
(If you are on a System Menu version other than 4.3, you need this!)
Extract the IOS Update directly to your sd card
    Overwrite files if asked

Based on later text, I believe this should be 'other than 4.1' as the recovery options of 4.1 are extolled later. Or some other meaning?

    THS

Users that are on SM 4.3 already have all the IOS that are in the IOS Update pack. Eventually yes you can downgrade to 4.1, but you still need all these IOS. So, if you are on any system menu version other than 4.3, you should do the IOS Update.

Hi guys... I applied this softmod to my Wii some months ago and it works great so far (my thanks to mauifrog)... but I want to be able to play gamecube games from a usb drive, so... is it possible to install DIOS MIOS 2.6 (newest release so far) having already applied the softmod of this tutorial?... i mean, is DIOS MIOS compatible with all from this softmod?... could anyone be so kind to point me to a good tutorial (if you know of any) on how to do this?. Thanks in advance, people!
