Play Zelda and make a savegame, copy that save game to your SD card and have a look at it. Now have a look at the twilight hack, put only the one that matches your save game on the SD card. Go back to the Wii, delete the Zelda save on Wii and copy the hack from SD card.

    Or try wilbrand
Also try all 4 banner bomb v1 files

Hi Guys. I have a basic question. Should a disable WiiConnect24 before softmodding a Wii console? If yes, should I never activate it again after the complete softmod or is it safe to leave it on?

    cheers

I've never disabled it, and think it's still on. Not that I've ever seen it do anything of worth even before I modded.

It doesn't matter for modding purposes. If it is enabled your wii will never fully shut down, it will be in standby mode when it is turned off. My hdd will not shut down fully unless the wii is fully shut down, therefore I turn off wiiconnect24. Unless you use the weather and news channels you really do not need wiiconnect24 anyhow.

    Sorry about the delay guys.

Thanks that was my stupidity. I hadn't moved it onto my sd card yet. Simple fix. Thanks for the support.

Everything else went smoothly. Only thing not working still is the instruments for Rockband. I've looked a several threads on here and tried a few fixes. Still not working.
If I load the game from the disk, they work fine. If I load from the HDD, they connect (solid blue light) but the game doesn't recognize them as being there. Any suggestions there??

I haven't seen that guide. I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure I have it on ios 222. I'll give it a try....

    Thanks again!!

First on loading hackmii it comes up in purple that bootmii can only be installed as ISO, homebrew installs fine but bootmii gives error FAILED (-1) as does prepare an SD card.

My system is on 4.3E and I have formatted the sandisk 2gb SD card via windows (fat32) and easeus and also tried the panasonic formatter but nothings working.

I've had a search but can't see any fixes (other than some suggesting the lock may be on the card, which it isn't). I also tried with a microsd in an sd adaptor but got the same problem.

Any ideas would be very welcome.

    Thanks
Bootmii is already installed on the Wii as ios. So you only need to get a bootmii folder and put that on the SD card, then bootmii will load, assuming it does not hate your SD card. There should be a bootmii folder for you to try hiding under the other desperate measures.

play safe, as a beginner, off the WiiConnect24 before softmod.
after softmod, u can always have WiiConnect24 on, online gaming, or....etc. (leave it on all the time will consume energy, generate heat and shorten the life of ur Wii. get it?)
play safte, again, you should install Priiloader, enable "block online update" and "block disc update" !
