NEVER replace cios60-v54321 with ios60-6174. Doing so will brick your Wii. Don't MUCK up cios60-v54321
I don't know if this is cIOS60 or IOS60, can you tell me please if I can update this Wii safely?? Here is my syscheck file, thanks for any help.

    Spoiler

It will be safe, that Wii has the IOS60 of 6174 so you can indeed safely replace it with the one this guide uses. What you quoted simply means after you install the SM 4.1 and it's cIOS60 v54321 you can never switch back to IOS60 6174.

    Spoiler

Actually that was my screw up in the guide. I fixed it to reflect the correct information. 6174 is the correct IOS for SM 4.1. v54321 and v6174 are the same IOS, Never replace 54321 or 6174 with v6400. 6400 is a stub put in place by sm 4.2 and 4.3.

    My apologies for the confusion.

Thanks for the replies, still a bit confused about all these IOS, but I know this pack contains !!!IOS60-system-compatability-test, which I hope will keep me safe? I am now wondering if I use this tutorial can i skip the fisrt part as I have bootmii as boot2 and I just updated priiloader over wifi last night and continue to update the other IOS's, would that be ok??

If you already have HBC, Bootmii, and a NAND backup, then sure, I usually skip to chapter 2 when I remod my system, too.

If you don't have a NAND backup, then start over and make sure you have one around in the event you mess something up.

If you ever reinstall a system menu, then you will have to reinstall priiloader afterwards. But if all you do is update from ModPack and IOSUpdate, that will get you current as far as your system goes.

Take a look at THIS. I have never used it or recommended it to anyone, but thats what it is. I have only seen it in German, and since I cant speak German it seems pointless to me lol.

    Regarding the !!!IOS60:

What this does is test ios60-v6174 for system functionality before proceeding with the system modification. It is extremely unlikely that this will ever serve any purpose, however it is possible that Nintendo could produce new wii hardware in the future that would not be compatible with ios60-v6174. If that where the case, the installation would freeze at !!!IOS60-system-compatibility-test.wad and prevent further modification to the wii, preventing damage to such a system.
Not sure what exactly you mean by "skip the first part". If you already have a nand backup and your HBC is v1.1.0 running on IOS58, then yes you can start at Chapter 2.

The extra folders wouldn't make a difference, but the kind of card used might, so no guarantees its going to work for you. The following quote is from the beginning of this guide:
    Format SD-CARD to FAT32
Use a standard SD-Card, 1-2g (SanDisk is good)

When I do the sum checks, all the wad files are fine when checked, but for the app files, is this supposed to come up? When I go to Priiloader, and hit System Hacks Menu, no hacks come up:

apps\priiloader\boot.dol ERROR: F:\apps\priiloader\boot.dol does not exists.
apps\priiloader\hacks_hash.ini ERROR: F:\apps\priiloader\hacks_hash.ini does not exists.

It means that you didn't extract the apps for some reason, only the wads and the md5 files.

If you already have Wii Mod 3.2 on your system, then what you have will be fine. If you don't, you'll want to get it from ModPack.zip.

The other apps are two priiloader installers (0.7 and 0.8b). If you already have priiloader installed, you don't need it again, but if you haven't yet done so ,then you want it.

If you're still confused after all that, then redownload ModPack.zip, extract it in full, and then rerun the md5's again.
