WiiMod should have autoloaded IOS236 after install, preventing that error, and its the first wad installed. What IOS is the HBC running on?

    HBC is 1.0.1 IOS35 v4.16

the IOS60 system compatability test is the first IOS and IOS236 is the second one. Both of these were installed succesfully.

Some of the ones that are giving error messages are cIOS202[60], cIOS245[37] and all the bottom ones e.g. Wiiflow-FIX and Neogamma Forwarder

Go back to the Softmods with Homebrew Channel Installed. You need to make sure you install IOS58 and IOS61 first. Then reinstall the Homebrew Channel. Then it will run on IOS58. After that, continue with the guide.

Thanks for the help. Do I need to uninstall Homebrew channel first or what? I have tried using the 3.0-4.1 Bannerbomb v1 but my wii does not detect anything in the channels. I have tried using all the different BBv1 files too.

Did you try following the instructions in that section I told you to look at? Maybe you should...

    Yup I have.

I followed them initially. I already have IOS58 and IOS61 installed. But it tells you to do the rest presuming that you have HBC installed. But if I am to remove it and install it again I will need to use bannerbomb v1 right? Which does not seem to work for me at all.

Herein lies your problem. You should follow the instructions exactly as they are written. Dont skip parts or assume anything. Did it tell you to uninstall the HBC? No it did not.

    Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed

If you already have a softmod with HBC installed, you can update your softmod with this guide.

Note: 4.3 wiis can skip installation of ios58 and 61, and simply load Hackmii from the HBC.

    Backup and Format your sd-card
    Extract
    WiiMod-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0 to sd:\
    Load the HomeBrew Channel
Launch WiiMod - WiiMod will load

    -Select Wad Manager -Press A
-Press 1, -press A -Install all wads
    -IOS58 and IOS61 will install
    -Press "any button" to continue
-Exit WiiMod to go back to the Homebrew Channel
    -Select hackmii_installer_v1.0 - Press A to Launch
    -Hackmii Installer Loads
Then you move on to Part 2, Install the Homebrew Channel and Bootmii.

Nowhere does it say to uninstall anything... As stated before, follow the instructions exactly as written.

    Okay thanks

I started following it again from start as you mentioned. I went into Wad manager to install IOS58 and IOS61 again. This time when I try to install IOS61 it gives me an error message. It starts installing it but after few seconds it says Error! (ret=-1)

Plus when I went to the HBC to launch Wii Mod; nothing happened. The screen turned black and nothing came up. I waited for a while and after that I switched my wii off and back on. After doing that, I could see Wad manager installed on my wii automatically. So I just used that to try to install them two wads.

You guys say NEVER TO UPDATE through Nintendo... But I got a new black Wii over Christmas and it was running 4.3U MS which from what I've read is the latest MS. I'm new to Wii and gaming in general and did not know about hacking/modding/soft modding. So when I set up my Wii it asked if I wanted to check for updates and apply them so I did. After it did its thing and "updated" nothing changed and I saw no difference it still said I'm running 4.3U sooooo why did it even ask for the update? Shouldn't it know it's already running the latest MS it did give me a warning about if there were any modification it would detect and wipe them from the system. So am I still good to softmod my Wii? Also I have Internet access to my Wii via my homes wifi. Should I disable it? What does it need Internet connection for besides the updates? And how else can I prevent it from updates or auto updates so it won't get rid of the softmod once I do it? Thank you

It's safe to update from Nintendo if the Wii has not yet been modded. Once a system has been modded, then you want to avoid Nintendo Updates.

What updated on your system wasn't a new Menu (it is still 4.3U), but a new IOS was installed that the latest version of the Shop Channel (v21) uses as of November 2012. That is what was updated.

No harm, if you did the mod out of the box and updated Shop Channel to v21 through the mod method, you would have installed the new IOS file in the process anyway.

But after you mod, you don't want to update through Nintendo. When you install and configure Priiloader, there are settings you can enable that will block updates from Network and Disk-based updates.

IOS61 has to be able to install properly, or other things that require it won't work.

Try redownloading the files and trying again, format the SD card (not quick format) and try again. This step needs to work before you can move on.
