I can't believe I've softmodded my wii. I had no clue about the system. Bought it yesterday, softmodded today! (even with a 4gb SDHC card)
    All thanks to you guys

Use the panasonic sd formatter to format your card, then try again.

Completing all updates to my already soft-mod... Thank you Guides Bot! I still have Wii Gator's backup launcher 0.2 channel and assuming from what I read I do not need it anymore. I cannot figure out how to delete the channel. Someone please help.

Delete it from Data Management, like you would with normal channels.

Yeah, it happens. All channels are installed as WADs on the Wii. You would be surprised to know that even the Disc, Internet, Shop Channels are Wads (installed on the Wii's internal memory)

The disc channel is not a system channel or installed channel, it can not be removed, it is part of the system menu.
