It has a USB drive w/vary games and can read some but not the favorites (ex: a popular football game & many others). Also, it is unable to read some of our retail games. A picture appears in the window/channel then the screen goes blue w/ ERROR #2 after launching them: an error has occurred....HELP!!

Also, Neogamma looks promising but then fades to a black screen.

I am challenged and exhausted. How/what do I do next? My 7 yr old is patient but I am in running out of patience.

    Thank you in advance.

Follow this guide again from start to end. Make sure you do the IOS update part. After that you should be all set.

The other file came as a .Zip. I exctrated it and the folder name is r1207mod01_ios222-249-250 Inside that folder is 3 more folders ios 222,ios249, and ios250, How do i use that zip ? all 3, and how do i run it?
You would put the boot.dol in the apps folder on your sd card. You would have to create a new folder for the dol. The structure will look something like this:

    Code:
     /apps/usbloadergx_channelforwarder/boot.dol
With the zip file, extract the boot.dol from the ios249 folder to the USB Loader GX folder located in your apps folder (not the one you created for the channel forwarder).

Thanks but after doing that, USB Loader GX (which the Wii boots into) can no longer recognise my USB HDD. Once it gives up and I can get into the settings, I tried changing the boot IOS to 250 but then it just tries to find the HDD with the default, then retries with 250 but still fails.

I had to reload MMM into 236 as I was getting a ticket 2011 error otherwise.

Can you please help me fix this as I won't be very popular

What version of GX are you using? If not the latest, try updating it. If that still doesnt work, using the same method go back to d2x v8. Download from HERE.

Thanks. It's GX 21009. I put 21080 (I think, the latest one from May 2012 anyway) and that detects the USB HDD OK. So I tried to load WiiXplorer to copy that to the USB but it said Reloading into IOS 80 and crashed. So I edit the cfg on my PC to ISO 249 and it still crashed. So I deleted the cfg and then it booted OK and I can change the IOS to 249 or 250 but then it doesn't see the USB HDD, only if I set it to use IOS 80, but then the "Use both USB ports" option won't change from off.

I don't understand why but I can't seem to get GX 21080 onto the HDD. If I boot with the SD card with 21080 on it detects the HDD and checking the Credits shows that version but if I copy the boot.dol from the SD over the HDD one then reboot without the SD card in, GX fails to detect the HDD again and checking the credits shows it's still using 21009!

Make sure your loader is up to date, format the entire drive as FAT32, and re-rip your games to that through the loader. WBFS is depricated.

Sorry, I was a bit confused about the versions. It's 1109 on the HDD and 1180 on the SD. With d2x v9, neither see the HDD. I did downgrade to v8 at one point which is probably when it worked with 1180, I don't think 1109 worked with that. So I'll have to downgrade to v8 again to get it working. Even with v9, the WiiXplorer "Use both Ports" options isn't switchable anyway.

    Hi,

I followed the guide and it worked perfectly! Just a quick question, during Part 1 of Chapter 2, I installed the 30 wads and the 25 wads (the IOS update folder) and all installed perfectly. I am not sure, however, if by installing those wads I have updated the wii shop channel. Do I have to use WiiMod, navigate to to the channels folder and install the file there? Or by installing the 55 wads, I have already updated wii shop?

    Thanks!
