    Hi there!

I have a WII version 4.1E that hasn't ever been softmodded. I attempted your instructions on the BannerBomb v1. Well I tried to install the WADs but I don't think it completed successfully. I'm getting weird exceptions occassionaly. So I tried the steps from BannerBomb v1 *again* now I'm just greeted with a nice black screen when I load boot.dol for the first time!

I use Ubuntu 12.04, I formatted the SD card to FAT32 using GParted. I reformatted the SD card between trying the BannerBomb v1. steps.

I have gone no further in the tutorial than attempting BannerBomb v1, please help, can I start again fresh?

If you loaded the Homebrew channel already (via the BBv1 exploit), there is no need to do it again. Simply follow this guide using the "Softmods with Homebrew Channel Already Installed" spoiler.

Hi there dnidnimretsam, thank you for your reply.

I have not yet loaded the homebrew channel. Bootmil will not load, instead when I load the boot.dal I just get black screen (it hangs). I previously think I botched an attempt at installing the IOS58/68 althought I followed it to the letter. Now I'm just stuck. Really wish I could start again.

Ok, so I got A single GCT to work yesterday through Gecko os on an sd card. I decided to try a different GCT and now I get either "No SD Codes Found" or if it does find them it freezes at loading screen. I have not made any chagnes aside from the GCT which I deleted and downloaded a new text file then Cheat Manager to convert to gct and export to SD. Please tell me where i went wrong or what info you need to find out.

This has nothing to do with following this guide, and we do not support cheating.

I am soon going to receive a second hand Wii. Can someone confirm for me that even if the Wii is already softmodded using an unknown method it would be safe for me to use this guide? And what if the system menu of the Wii is really old (lower than 3.0 for example), should I update?

I am going nuts and really need some help. I did a softmod update by installing the modpack. Before i did this I was using Wiiflow 2.2 and I was able to access my games from the usb hard drive. the drive was formatted using wbfs manager. Now that I did the update I have WiiFlow 3.0 and when I go to Homebrew and load WiiFlow 3.0 it gives me the options "Install game" or "Select partion". What do I need to select? I followed all the directions for installing the modpack, formatting sd, and installing the priiloader, but there was nothing about what I would need to do for wiiflow after I made those changes. Please I really need help getting wiiflow working again. Thanks

Not an expert nor have I ever used the app. My educated guess is that "select partition" might have to do with the loader wanting to know where the games are located, and that clicking it might give the choice of what partition the games are. Of coarse this is just my guessing.
