This happens with forwarder i'm not able to find any forwarder for MAME that is working with my Wii - i don't know where is problem so I gave up and run this app by HBC :P
any other forwarders are working like a charm.

    Thanks for this excellent guide!

My Wii is one of the old ones that can have BootMii as boot2 and I used LetterBomb to install BootMii. However, the HackMii v1.0 README file in the LetterBomb package says that "The HackMii Installer will automatically install BootMii as IOS upon startup. Starting with v0.7 it relies on it and there is no way to prevent this step.". Now, I am really confused about how BootMii is installed on my Wii. Evidence shows that it is on boot2 (i.e., two flashes at start up and no execution from the HBC menu) but I followed the guide step-by-step and did no extra step to install BootMii on boot2 which means that it should be installed as an IOS (based on the README file).
Can someone please tell me what is going on here and how can I for sure determine how BootMii is installed?

delete the installed Forwarder and get another "proper" Forwarder for the loader.

you've the option to install bootmii as boot2. and avoid to do it as ios as your Wii is an old one.
make a NAND backup for your own safe.

This is exactly what is happening to me. Very frustrating as the install followed in the guide worked like a charm!

Generally, CFG, Wiiflow, Neogamma, GX.... they've their individual FORWARDER wads. You need to install each one you want.
Perhaps, you can establish a "common" Forwarder which would search for the various Loader and hunt for the files in SD:/ or HDD:/ !

I have been trying to mod my Wii using the softmod any Wii guide for the past two days.

I used letterbomb to get started, then switched over to the guide and followed it to the letter.

Everything was fine until I tried to use the usb loaders. None of them work.

Wiiflow gives me the Black Screen of Death after the initial loading screen.
Cfg loads the startup screen, then it tells me I need to install cios 248 or it tells me that cios 249 is a stub.
USBLoader gfx loads but doesn't detect my external hard drive. It also gives me an error message regarding cios, this time 222, 223, and 245-250.
Neogamma loads just fine, but never mounts the hard drive and freezes at either 23 or 24.

I've tried installing the cios through WiiMod, but nothing works. I'm at a loss for what to do other than go back to start and do the whole procedure again. I've also done a clean install of all the usb loaders and their forwarders, checked my Priiloader settings to make sure that I saved the changes so that no updates were installed, and nothing seems to have made a difference.

My System Check results are under the spoiler tag. My memory card is a 4GB PNY SDHC (bad?) and my external hard drive is a 500 GB Western Digital My Passport, formatted FAT32 and partitioned into two halves (wii has it's own drive called wii, the other half is used as storage.)

    Spoiler

    Any help is appreciated.

Start again with the guide with HB channel installed. Don't skip any steps! You already have priiloader so skip that. You need to install the cios's using MMM or Wiimod.

    Hello everyone,

I modded my Wii today and tried loading my backup via. Neogamma. This same backup loaded on a softmod I did a year or so back. But now, after following this guide again (albeit with the updated content) I get this:

    DVD-R + no cios

My backup DVD is not exactly in prime condition, could this be the fault or did I mess up somewhere along the guide.

One problem I had was with the batch IOS installs (via the WAD Manager). I started the batch install and went away. If there was an error, would that be showed at the end of installation or is there a possibility I just missed it... Maybe something didn't install right. Although there was no sign of an error happening... Any ideas?

    Thank you
