Yes, I would definitely make another back up of your nand.
This way you can have A nand back up with everything you have installed so far.

We always like to hear suggestion's from our members, on ways to make it simpler for others to understand.
    Thank You.

The Mii Channel is it's own channel and has nothing to do with HBC.
You are going to have to start from step one in the Guide.
Use Bannerbomb or another exploit to install HBC.
That's true I'll do that soon.

Did you understand what really happened to my Wii? I cannot understand how 3,4 turned to 4.2 in few second with interned updates blocked.... Does this wad files you provide are modded and some of them are corresponding to 4.2 menu version? The funny thing is that It works like 4.2 I can have channels or virtual console in sd like my other 4.3 wii does!!!

The system menu wad that we provide in the pack is "Vanilla", So they are not modded , Patched at all.
They are strictly 4.1 system menu's.
As for what happened to your wii and why it took in the update for S.Menu 4.2 with in a couple of seconds...
It sounds like it install the ios for that system menu (ios70) and then the Menu itself.
I have no idea how that was even possible since you had the block updates / online updates enabled.
That's normal, you can transfer your wii VC/WiiWare games to the sd card.
No games (VC/WiiWare/WII) are System menu Dependent.

Strange things. Anyway if this happens to anyone just press the power button to turn off(the first time I read that and the second time I thought it was cancel and I pressed I "Agree" accidentally) and then double check that updates are off from priiloader hacks. If the update note persists in disk channel just ask here.... thats my suggestion...

I would probably also talk to Daco Taco about this as well.
He would be able to give you more details on it as the Priiloader is his Creation.

Thank you. I'll also check if manual update is blocked after double checking hacks. But It's late there now maybe tomorrow.

    Stupid question:

Hi there I am basically a noob at all this. I just have a simple question: are all of the links in the first post (the guide) up to date or should I look for more recent versions of them? Or newer/better apps? Using 4.3u.

In any case, a big thanks to the community. I am new to the WII if you can believe that and I am surprised at the level of awesomeness going on with all this homebrew stuff.

All the links are up to date. The only thing you might find a little inconsistent is the SD file structure (you'll understand when you get to it), and that the Shopping Channel Update steps are not there. If you decide you want to update the shopping channel, just repeat the steps you took to update the IOSs.

Guide is great, but I have a question. I followed it and have a backup HBC. I followed the guide to remove Softmod but it didn't mention this backup HBC channel, it does warn repeatedly not to delete the HBC, but is it ok to delete the backup HBC?

What do you have your HDD formatted to?
Is it formatted correctly?(Set As Primary & Active.)

No, do not delete that channel.
It's there in-case you get in to trouble , you can use it to help fix the wii.
For instance you can use the HBC Back up channel to re-install the HBC if you delete it.
