excellent guide to Softmod
Mauifrog, to say that i am a novice at this would be a massive understatement, i followed your guide to the letter and successfully softmoded my 4,3 -U that i got in Singapore, it worked 1st time, no issues at all....the hat is tipped sir...

Thanks again, the guide was great.

Only Site Donators Can PM Staff
A wii manufactured in dec '11 will not play copied discs no matter what you do. Darkcorp has its pros and cons but will not solve your problem, get a usb drive.

I'm having trouble with configurable usb loader, (and really any of the USB loaders) they're getting hung up. When I launch the configurable USB loader it won't work, says that IOS 249 is a stub. Does this mean I did the WADs wrong? I was sure to watch and make sure all 30 loaded, but perhaps it didn't?

Forgot to post here and say I fixed the issue by using MMM and Wad Manager to work around my inability to load WiiMod. Got everything worked out, and my backup games are working perfectly.

What version of CFG do you have? The latest official one is v70r46: Downloads - cfg-loader-mod - Configurable USB Loader MOD - Google Project Hosting

Thank you that did help, things seems to be running better, however I still can't get it to rip the games I have, perhaps this is a question for a different thread. It starts ripping... then freezes about 15 seconds in and I have to completely reset the wii. Its doing this with all the USB loaders

I've modded my Wii many times with this guide when needing to update my wads/cios.. but just wondering will this make Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Work just with all this files you provided in the Modpack and Apppack? I've tried setting that specific game to IOS 249 / 222 / 223 with BLOCK IOS RELOAD ON and it either will not load, or it will just hang on the Loading screen as usual..
Any ideas? Thanks

I've some questions regarding this post...
I'm kinda ingnorant regarding hacks all this stuff;however I've could already installed (via another sites) the HBC(with letter bomb)and the HBB(found some info on Youtube).
From your chapter 1, part 2; I've never had to onstall Bootmii as Boot2
From part 3, I've launched bootmii in order to make a nand backup; but my I got a black screen and my cd slot on my wii keeps blinking blue. I've waitted for about an hour and finally turned it off: so I have no nand back up and I guess the Bootmii launching on my wii wasn't succed. I also didn't find any sd:\bootmii
sd:\key.bin files on my sd card.
From chapter 2: I've never had to introduce any passwoord as you mention there. I succesfully downloaded the zipfile. Din't update my Wii IOS and Shop Channel.
The veriying of the checksums and the installation of the 30 wads went perfect!
Part 2 (install Priiloader): I've tried to install Priiloader 7,but get a message: TMD patching....no TMD modifications needed...deleting TMD extra filles...passwoord and settings NOT FOUND. Do I do something wrong here? (My Wii is like 4.5 years old)
From the final step: I've got all channels you mention....unless ''Boot your wii to the system menu'' means that I still have some special instruccion to do
Thanx for your help !!!!

installing programs to wii internal memory
hi! I just finished softmoding my wii a while ago by following this guide and everything runs great. My only problem is that the channels (Neogamma, WiiMC, etc..) only work when the SD card is inserted. Is there any way that I can run these programs from the Wii's internal memory instead of running it from the SD card?

If you are using a fat32 formatted hard drive, you could put the apps on the hard drive. The channels on your system menu are not full programs, rather pointers to apps either on SD or USB.
